hello... i recently got my score: 89/220
since I am an IMG i am wondering if it is a good score to apply for good surgery programs.... what do you think? also I would like to know if is it enough for applying for a H1B visa

It can never hurt to apply for surgery. But there are a lot of FMGs with scores in the high 90s applying.
Most programs look at the 'whole package', so with very strong letters of intro from known people, and a good CV you may be OK. Especially for a prelim spot.
Once you have an interview, the score are far less important than WHO you are. I have heard of 99 scores who did not match, and 80s who did.
Finally, the visa issue is entirely independent of you scores. Most programs will offer to help with J1 visa sponsorship (less paperwork than an H1) but you may be able to convince some to offer an H1 for a number of reasons.
It is all supply and demand...
