What's wrong with saying that I didn't work due to the birth of my children, but now I am ready to dedicate myself to my career. HOWEVER, if you mention children, you may be asked about arrangements to take care of them. Since you brought up the children, it's legal to ask you about child care issues. And perfectly fine to say that my parents will be here helping, I am sending them home to school, etc.
