Probenecid for chronic gout

Allopurinol for increased uric acid due to chemotherapy

the indomethacin mey be used as colchicine, in fact is most common used. But there isnīt in the answers.

duznt aspirin compete with uric acid in for secretion in the kidney...as far as my failing memory helps...probenecid duz too. it inhibits reabsorbtion but also competes for secretion..hence not used in an acute stage..comments please

FOR acute attack NSAID and Colchicine

FOR choronic attack Probenecid and allupurinol

its colchicine bcos aspirin causes hyperuricemia

OK so if Indomethacin was a choice, what would u pick b/w indomethacin & colchicin?

fox, colchicine is indicated for acute gout inflammation in kaplan. so i think its better to go with it. dunno about indomethacin. did u read redg it any where?
