Thanks everybody I got my score yesterday and I failed,my score did get better
so I am frustrated but not heartbroken I will keep trying,this time I will use the goljan books,they are the only thing I did used,I wellcome any other advice

so sorry to hear about your result. i am devastated cos i worry about my result now. but you have the correct spirit ie to keep on trying. dont let go. dont be discouraged. i cannot advise on books or resources seeing i dont have my results yet but i pray for better luck for you next time.

hi cedrick,
i think i am now in a better position to advise about resources.
first, dont waste your time reading princeton. i have it. it is a big book and it is so short on details, it is not worth your time. FA is a much better book.
i think one problem you may have is you lack details of what you study. i would recommend that if you study just 80% of expected stuff, try and learn up to 90% info on the areas you are able to study. i found that basic info was needed to answer one step question but when it became the more common 2 step and 3 step questions, you need to understand more detail of the subject matter.
way forward, study kaplan well. in addition, make reference of the STANDARD textbooks for each subject when neccessary. eg, make reference to jawetz for immuno, lippincot or katzung for pharma etc.
dont spend too long on questions. they are essential but you must have a solid base before you can make use of the questions that you answer. study the explanation to the answers of both those you got correct and those you missed.
last piece of advise i have is keep a tab of the questions you answered and the options you chose esp in qbook and kaplan revsion questions. put a date to it. next time you answer the questions, compare your answers. you will be surprised that there are areas where you will keep choosing the same wrong answer. diagnosis, you do not yet grasp teh concept being tested.(happened a lot to me)
