A 25-year-old woman with regular menses is given an estrogen challenge. The challenge consists of exogenous estrogen supplementation to see if her LH level will increase. Which of the following regimens would be most effective?

A. Estradiol 20 days after menses

B. Estrogen 10 days after menses

C. Progesterone 10 days after onset of menses

D. Progesterone 20 days after onset of menses

E. Synthetic FSH 15 days after onset of menses

E?

B is better since increased estrogen causes LH surge. The questionable issue here is the day (day 10).

yes. that's why I chose E.
FSH increase also will result in LH surge.
such unfair Qs!

the first peak for estroge begins roughly 2 to 3 days before the LH peak day 14 so the closest answer would be answer-b-estrogen 10 days after menses
