Lilly: I have just picked up my books this week and I am in section 2. I am actually enjoying physio and understands it better than patho. So far I do not need the audios but I do not for how long. I do hope to do a lot more over the weekend beside house chores.
Indi: It is so good that u can study 24 hours or what u need. I know that I will never have that kind of opportunity so I have to better with my time. Ur earlier advice to Novak about reading at least five pages a day will be put in practiced by me really hoping to do more, but doing nothing at all is not an option. Need to rearrange my schedule. Wish me luck.
Novak and NNL: just keep ur eyes on the prize. I just saw The pursuit of Haapyness with my daughter and the movie just gave me a whole new outlook on this thing. I have learned a valuable lesson thru this movie. If u have not seen it take a break and go see it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, however the length of the tunnel depends on our approach.
Focus: R U still scheduled for Jan 30?
In conclusion, I have still my 1st read left in pharma, patho and anatomy. Would like to accomplish a lot by the end of the month. May God help me!!

Hi everyone, let me just say THANK YOU, and wow, I know I can really count on you guys for support and specially for some understanding since we are in the same boat.
Keepgoing...you are right I should stop worrying and move on.
New_n_lost....no, no, no, don't ever doubt yourself based upon what somebody else tells you. I know that the base of my failure to move on and to not pursue my goals is a low self esteem, but I am the one who puts me down (wich is I guess worse since I am sleeping with the enemy,..me!, jejeje), let's focus, like you mentioned on the task at hand, and cheer us and motivate ourselves!
Mytime, don't say sorry, it didn't sound like a lecture, on the contrary, thank you, you are just being sincere, and you are right maybe yes I am afraid of change, but you are also right in saying that if I don't do this and I fail myself I won't be able to look myself in the eye and stand straight. I think you said something really important...YOU NEAD A BETTER PLAN AND A BETTER ENVIRONMENT!, that is so true, and I am working on it.
indidoc1.....you are also right, I should stop thinking and stop worrying about it and just start working towards it, the problem is that I think to much of what if, and what if this, and that, I worry about the personal statement and interviews, and the cities where I am going to apply and I haven't done step 1, so I will stop thinking ahead of myself and takle this first hurdle.
By the way, it is great that you are going to be able to study 24/7.
Zade...you also said something that I liked: "keep your eyes on the prize", that is so true, we sometimes are overwhelmed with the problems or the journey that if we just keep out eye on the prize, we will remember why we are doing this in the first place. I guess you just have to really really want it and really really beleive you can do it and that you deserve to do it!

KG check the other thread. Ill schedule when I'm prep. fully ie getting good scores. My papers are already with ECFMG so I have to only get the date. Probably May.
ZADE and INDI start with ENDO starting Monday. trying finishing in 3 days flat....all Endo that u wud like to look up. PHYSIO, path, pharm...anat..whatever. Report by thursday.....and put in qs. if u can.

Novak, i am sorry i wasnt there to lift u up but i am glad everyone pitched in real nice & we are all planning for a full swing now. Lets kill it Guys!!
Keepgoing & Zade........i guess you guys missed the post where i mentioned my extension. I am taking time till around Mar - April now.
Guys this is my second read now so i will be doing it systemwise to corelate things better.I am way behind in doing questions & have loads to practice right now. Starting Endo first (Physio,Patho & Pharma......will do them in a week inshaALLAH.

Mmmm now got wats wrong wht no one was posting here all are busy at sis thread and i thot all need a buck up call and motivation so psoted yesterday lonnnnnnnnnnng post which was esp for zade n lilly i was bit harsh there if anyone of u read plzz forgive me cos i felt it wud be mean if im at 2nd raed and rest of my gang still at 1st but whn raed mytinmes thraed and found all are happy and posting regularly..thn i deleted that post i hope u all will forgive me :oops:....im happy u all are happy n active else i was so confused seeing no one showing interset in each other like was before everything changed after new year but in good way taht all are studyig sooooo....................... indi dont be jealous ha cos u rae doing system wise n me subjectwise which doesnt make any sense until i do system wise n integrate all which u all are alraedy doing...so wish me luck so taht i keep moving my lasy bones...

good news guys.... i finished anat.. starting neuro today.
1st, will take a break n do Qs on micro+immuno frm kap qbank (loooong overdue) fr some time.
but guys.... i have to beg leave frm u till 27th... my next post ll be on 28th. Plz don't be angry at me (esp KG )... can't help it.

its really good to have u all back.,
Mytime..........No pal no work just staying off the net for a while i have actually forgotten a lot of stuff n really need to grab hold of things so i took a place of solitude got holed up there n making steps to get back on the fast track. Attention span is direly low n sitting infront of a book looking at it wondering how could i have missed the details so i m actually going thru it again as if its my 1st read so its taking up a bit of extra time than expected. thats all
Keepgoing............Its really good to have around and can u tell me which subject r u on so might tag team on it
Focus........... Not sure on how to go abt the systemwise thing havent tried it before so u will have to guide as to how u r approaching it n i will follow u.

NNL & Indidoc........plz check the other thread where Mytime has written how to go about it. This week is endo. NNL.....we are doing it for the first time too so are just in the phase of fitting things accordingly. I did Hypo,Pit (anat,physio,pharma,path) & am still at it.
Keepgoing.........i suggested u USMLEWORLD considering u have done all the other Q banks,i remember once u were doing Kaplan Q bank etc & now BSS, so i thought World was the only thing left .However keep it for the end when u are done with everything else.Atleast this is what i will be doing & i havent prescribed it as yet.
Zade,Lilly,Novak.......how much have you all done now?

focus--thanks buddy but sorry to confuse u coz i juz shared difficulty level of Kqank n BSS coz i found them very simple where as ppl say real exam questions r like 1 paragraph long hence i asked...coz i find difficult to do 50 question in 50min wat if real exam is such a long so juz to train myself i asked if any online bank is like taht.. i m still doing qbank subjectwise and bss part 1(mixed)...time mode

Have been feeling very tired lately and did not have a chance to post. Finished embryo and gettind ready for gross. Stucked in section 2 of physio. Need to pick up my pace, time is flying and is definitely not waiting for me. Getting very nervous and a bit cranky with my family. Really needs to work on abetter schedule or approach or whatever. Must do better.
Might not post everyday but will keep in touch at least everyother.

Hi you guys!!
Last week I started my classes at my medical school, preparing for the classes is taking up a lot of time, at list I am studying microbiology and genetic disorders for the class.
I starte reading biochem from first Aid, and after finishing that I will start with the lectures notes.
A group of US citizens that I met through my job at the health center, surprised me with a 2007 first aid book, and many blackwells underground clinic vignettes books, so God is sending me help from all places, first you guys in this forum and my family and now this group of strangers who know that I am pursuing this dream of becoming a US licensed physician, so I MUST do my part and focus and study.
I am still contemplating not going to work for a couple of weeks, so that I can kind of get into the habit of studying and jump start my schedule, my study time, and then continue working and studying, but things are hectic in my job.
I am also going to try to start exercising and I have to do an electromyography that my orthopedic surgeon told me to get, because I can't stand my back, it now hurts even sitting, right now, writting this it is starting to hurt, so I will say good bye.
I will have thursday, friday and saturday to study biochem, I will post on Sunday my advances in biochem.

HEy NOVAK no I don't think anyone's going to go to a third place...probably tothe other thread we are still posting here only for u as the other's post there regularly.
Hey what happened to ur back. I actually I have a slip disc too and make sitting for long periods tough but then that's how it's .worse lately though 'coz of having to lift my almost 40 lbs tot!!!!
Such is life!!!!!! Wish u feel better son without too much intervention. God bless and good luck!
