I have been struggling lately but I want to post cos I do not want to get complascent in my lazy ways. I want to do this and have it behind me before spring of next year.

My dear friends, I am so so happy to come back. The relocation part does not finish yet and I am still very busy at work, but I almost finished packing and my family left today, so I’ll have some time at night for study. I am sorry for disapper again, but I read your posts almost everyday, lots of you made great progress, I am very happy for you. It’s so moving this summer time for me, but I am happy that it’ll be over in a month. Now I return to the USMLE world. I promise that I won’t dissapper again.
Some of you suggest that we should post what we have done and when are we going to take the exam. I agree with that and I am looking forward to seeing that. I am done part (small part  of the Biochemistry and I am planning to take the step 1 at the Spring time next year. Is anybody going to start a new subject? Or did anybody just start a new subject? I’d like do it with you.

now that i m thru i think i might as well squeeze out time fr some more lines...
well, i hav come to d end of my gruelling days. today is d last one so computer permitting, i'll get back to my regular posts frm tomorrow.
i had mentioned abt my frustration wth micro in d last post. well, u guys r my inspiration.
i look at coolsuch... MPH,job, thesis n MLE
zade n lily...kids n a tiring job
new n lost... time constaints
n suddenly my problems appear to b of no consequence at all. i decided one thing
AS kaplan sez....""NO ONE'S GONNA GIVE U EXTRA CREDIT FR SUFFERING..... SO WHY SUFFER AT ALL?""
if i didnt have time to go into micro, i found another way out. i started doin biochem n genetics Qs n Qs on whatever lil micro i knew.
it has got me going again. i m all set to put in my best now.

gotta post small coz i m still not sure if i'll get it thru.
continuing... d Qs have perked me up coz i could score well n hav regained some confidence. yes! i know biochem n genetics well.... thats my weak link turned into my strongest point!!!
i m gonna give it my all n finish micro + immuno starting frm scratch n with a new perspective... doing from kaplan+ MMRS.
will definitely do it in a week. lily, if u wanna start wth me, i'll b very happy.
lets see how things work out but i feel deep inside that d worst is over by far.

@new_n_lost--Hey buddy dont worry juz follow instructions given by ppl here at post exam exp and stay kool during exam u know everything just be confident ,u r the BEST...our prayers are with u...juz believe in urself and one tip take propranol 20 b4 exam to reduce exam anxiety ....go ahead take exam and trust ur abilities and almighty god!all the best!

Hey friends,
Good to have you all back. I was really missing all of you & felt bad scrolling down on the forum to find our coolsuch group somewhere among the lower mails.
You all really mean a lot friends.........Lily, Indidoc,new_lost,Zade,Keepgoing,Coolsuch and the others.
Yeah Indidoc.........you are right, Zade Lily Coolsuch New_lost are all really inspiring ppl. Even you Indidoc.......keeping up with all the stuff & night duties........thumbsup buddy.
New_lost............you will do it REAL GOOD.........I JUST KNOW YOU WILL DO IT WITH FLYING COLOURS........& deep within you know it very well too. So just go by your instincts & stop panicking friend ok. Take in some happy foods(a little icecream, chocolatebar) whenever you feel these panic attacks & you will feel good.
As far as i am concerned............
here's me: I am doing Behavioural sciences nowadays because may be i am a little fatigued right now , so i decided switching the subject. Another reason was, i REALLY NEEDED to do the remaining physio & tie loose ends as well. So i thought a light subject with the big gulp would work.
I will be finishing it on the 10 of september INSHALLAH INSHALLAH & will start with the next subject.
If you guys think this is a good pace.........thanks buddy for backing me up.......but deep within actually i think its not.I have my exam scheduled on the 30 of November.
Its just 3 months (infact less than that taking off the last few days). This is my first revision, i need atleast 2 more with the questions. I know Patho takes time at least 20 days.
I have Anatomy, Pharma, Pathology remaining and these are big giants. I am not even sure if anyone of you will be there doing them with me. So, basically i know where i am right now.
I cant write more for myself right now friends.But you are all in my prayers.

Just 1 more thing.......Zade, Indidoc & others who are having trouble remembering all the crazy bugs. I would advise you guys to divide them in doing......lets say 5 bugs a day along with something. This will take a while but be persistent & Keep doing them with MRS on your side or maybe as your main book & you will be surprsied to see them turning into your friends.

Focus........ thanks buddy for the prayers n support. As for ur pace i will be very honest with u if u have Golyan it takes all abt a wk almost to finish up his lectures His audios r of Approxi 40hrs if u do 8 hrs a day u will be finished by a wk then if u add things from that POCKET Review of Robbins then nothing more than 2 wks n thats all n trust me this guy will make u finish pathology HIMSELF all u gotta do is listen to him. as for Pharma the best thing u can do is go thru different drugs while doing a Pathology associated Disease or when u r doing Micro then when u get to do Pharma as Subject it takes far less time than expected n Trust me PHARMA N MICRO r things of repitition. there is no way u can do them in one seesion. START DOING QUESTIONS RIGHT NOW its the easiest way to know whether u have mastered the topic or not. u have got one whole month ahead of u to finish ur first read easily manageble. then 2 whole mnths to revise on different topics
Keepgoing...... U r right maybe i was Panicking cos cant help it. this exam is really taking a toll on mental reserves.

Sorry that knock a wrong key before finish.
I can't do the neuroanatomy since I packed and shipped my HY neuroanatomy , I thought I won't use it in a month. So, I'll start microbiology with indidoc1, I am scared with micro since there are tons of new words that i never see before, I'll take focusmle's advice, divide them and meanwhile try to finish the bioche.
Indidoc, what's your plan about the mico? please let me know.

Lily:I am slo doing micro, jsut finishing up bacterias using KLN and MMRS. I like MMRS cos it is really ridiculously simple. KLN is full of information. Being an old graduate this combination does the trick.
Coolsuch: ur last post was Aug 28, we r in September now!!!
New n lost: keep up the good work.U might still be fairly new but u r no longer cost. GL.

m in a good mood now. will study hard to finish micro in ultra quick time. keepgoing.. guess that answers ur q BTW u r taking rapid strides keep it up
focus.. thanx fr d appreciation. 3 mths is a long time. u'll ace it. a word of caution.. dont treat beh sc as a "light " subject. many IMGs find it d toughest on d exam wth mol bio. it jumps up n hits u below d belt when u least expect it. GL fr ur plan buddy. dont worry abt d giants.. u'l slay them alrite. n thats good advice fr micro. will try it out.
