A neonate with swelling of the neck has a decreased seum thyroxine {T4} concentration and an increase serum thyroid stimulating hormone concentration
Which of the following agents chronically ingested by the mother during the pregnancy is the most likely cause of these findings ?

a.-corticosteroids
b.-propranolol
c.-propylthiouracil
d.-thyroxine {T4}
e.-Triiodothyronine{T3}

C, T4 and T3 I would make sense too, but It's more probable to ingest propylthiouracil (oral drug)

I've got a question now: considering that in pregnancy it would be best not to give any pills to the mother, but if the mother has hypertiodism, what drug U should give her?Propiltiouracile or other ones?

The T4 and T3 would not coincide with an elevated TSH.
