Robin my friend, you see? The answer was discussed, but wasn't decided. I also go with E

It is not unusual at all! I just happened to ask my nephrology professor the other days why do women get repeated cystitis and what prophilactic measures should be taken. The thing is that, as was stated earlyer, it is not a STD; women get it because during sexual intercourse, the penis "forces" the normal perineal flora, in which eColi and s. Saprophiticus are major constituents, up the urethra. By emptying the blader postcoital, you wash away those bacteria preventing infection. Another measure would be medication precoital, but that's uncomfortable but the best choice for preventing it in repeated infections (singledose of TMP-SMX or single dose of quinolones)
