what does locus heterogeneity mean??

When same disease phenotype can be caused by mutation in diffrenet loci(genotype) it is termed as locus heterogeneity.
Example :
Osteogenic Imperfecta Type-2 can be caused by mutation either in collagen gene on Chr.17 or Chr.7.
Compare it with Allelic Heterogeneity which is the presence of different mutations or allels in the same locus.
