Hiiii friends , i`ve been a silent reader of this forum..... i got lots of useful advice over here and i thank u all for the same...... but unfortunately when i got my scores , which said 83%ile ....that day earth slipped off my feet..... now i m very depressed and this time again need yr help/advice......is it a bad score for an img....? will i be able to get residency as i m interested in emergensy med / internel med..... ?

emergen med is even difficult for amgs.. if ur an average img (like most of the ppl like me who visit this forum) - then pls forget it
im is also gettin very competitive. however u have a long way to go. get good scores in s2. also depends if u want a visa.. a h1 on even a single score less than 85 is difficult.
get a 95+ in s2, some us lors, usce and research to offset ur low score. apply next match with a s3 and pray like every1 else.. dont back off from mle - but continue with full vigilance

usce is us clinical experience. You need to be in US in order to get us clinical experience. You can gain it by requesting near by hospitals for observership. You should try to write to faculty there. Getting help from your seniors who are in residency program is another idea. You can also look for your alumni in faculty position and request them to give you a chance. Same goes for research work and you should visit nearby academic institutions and volunteer for research work. Make sure you have your CV prepared. good luck ___________________ Past is a history.
