Hiiii friends , i`ve been a silent reader of this forum..... i got lots of useful advice over here and i thank u all for the same...... but unfortunately when i got my scores , which said 83%ile ....that day earth slipped off my feet..... now i m very depressed and this time again need yr help/advice......is it a bad score for an img....? will i be able to get residency as i m interested in emergensy med / internel med..... ?

well how r u ??? I hope that you are doing good.
I just want to tell that, you should be thank full that you have made it in first attempt, don't be such ungreat full, think, if you wouldn't be able to make it in first attempt or either you would get a low score. Remember, no one get 99 score in their steps. I don't know, but I dont like this kind of feeling as you are right now.
UNFORTUNATELY, what is so unfortunate????? why do you think is this unfortunate????
do you want to listen from any body from this forum, yes you wouldn't be able to get residency and this is realy bad score??????????????
tell me, what, how would your feeling would be, that you might not be able to make it............
believe me this is fortunate for you, that you are amoung 66% of whole IMG that made it in first attempt
for your kind info, I know one person, who has multiple attempt and, that person is his early fifties, he has multiple in attempt in both steps, what do you think of that person????? No, he wouldn't be able to get into the residency, right. WRONG, he got his residency, and got match infact.
but I know few people, who had more then 90 score and few ofthem has cleared their step 3, and didn't get match, so, what does that mean, it means, it is your fate. I'm not saying that you all just stop working hard, and think that what ever is in your fate, you will get it, no, you have to work hard to your maximum level, and believe in your fate. You still have step 2, try to get good score in that.
and let me tell you again, its lucky, that you made it in your first attempt, and got this score, its very good score, and by the grace of GOD, you will get a good resindecy.
