**cimetidine is most notorious of the H2 blockers with multitide of side effects also inhibits cytp450 {3Y4A}

You are right, (A) Cimetidine, however Famotidine has the same mechanism of action (H2 Blocker) so I'm wondering why it doesn't have the same side effects.

i believe famotidine is kind of like the "next generation", alot of time "the prototype" cimetidine in laymans terms is just "messed up" with side effects.

cimetidine is the main culprit as it leads to lots of side effects-

CIMETIDINE , inhibit P450 , and it has antiandrogens effects , like gynecomastia.

only cimetidine inhibits cyp3A4, not famotidine
