hi guys,
just want some advice from you guys...my window period for the ck is june-august...been studying since the beginnning of may... finished UW at the end of may with a meager score of 63%...then i spend about 2 wks or so going over the wrong questions brought my score up to about 70%...I also manage to took nmbe 2 got an 520, kaplan full length(72%)...i also did some qbook question, got 56%-84% with surger being the worse and IM the best however, for the past wk or so i feel so burned out...don't know what to study...just being complet ineffective. I tried to read my weak area in kaplan in the morning and went over the UW at night subject wise but i feel like i haven't learned anything...This past wkend i went to a kaplan center and took a diagnostic exam, got an 73%...I don't know what to do. i want to get this over with but deep down i'm so scared of this stupid exam...thus i haven't even schedule my test...Please advice me on what to do and what to study...should i schedule the exam at the end of this month or should i wait till the next??? I'm so sorry for all of my blah blah but i am really lost...

Hey Howto,
it sounds to me like you´re ready for the exam ! From my own experience, I can say that once you start to be burned-out, and just want the "pain" to end, your prep. will become less and less effective. So I would maybe take another NBME, and if you score fairly good on that one as well, I would go ahead and schedule a date for the near future. These are my 2 cents, hope they helped !

thanks so much for replying busy_mom...i'm going to take nbme 3 this sunday...woke up at 5:30 am this morning just finished with Kaplan's ID but i really don't know if i learn/recall anything from it...just feel llike i'm going with the motion...feel guilty if i don't study but when i studied i don't know if i learn anything at all...once again thanks so much...
