ok guys, so i took step one last week, phew it feels good to be done (though the waiting is torture- i keep having nightmares) so overall taking the actual test was a very pleasant experience. i was really nervous that i would choke under pressure when the actual test came. plus, i didnt know if i would last the 8 hours. but seriously guys, the time FLIES by when youre taking the real thing. i had taken all 4 NBME tests and thought they were so long and painful, but the real thing is way better b/c your adrenaline is pumping the whole time. just make sure you eat and take bathroom breaks throughout. and the 45 minute breaktime is so quick so be careful! definitely skip the tutorial, you'll get an extra 15 min of breaktime! some questions i felt were so easy that i was shocked that they were on the test. some were things i had never seen before (and probably wouldnt have EVER learned, even with an extra month of studying). the vast majority of questions were those where i only felt semi-confident about my answer choice (could narrow it down to 1 but wasnt 100% sure) does anyone know the deal with the "experimental questions"? is it a whole block that is experimental or are they scattered throughout? good luck to everyone still studying!! just imagine the day that you'll be done!!

i took my test today and i have the same experience and thoughts like da123 wrote,,,,,,,,i got two blocks which were very easy ,,,,,,,,two were tough,,,block 1 was the toughest one ,,,,,,,rest of the blocks were a mixture of tough and easy questions,,,,,,,,,,but actual exam experience is really pleasant ,,,just have faith in yourself,,,dont let your confidence be shattered,,,,,,,,,,,,one thing i want to emphasize is there were nearly 4 questions of stats related to bias ,,,,,,,,like which bias is a threat to validity of a test,,,,,,,i could not answer those questions with confidence,,,,,,,,,,,and another important point is that i got nearly 6 questions from nbme forms,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i'll write my experiance later in details,,,,,,,,,,,best of luck to all of you,,,,,,,,,
