Sorry to post this one again, but I'm still not sure of the answer... SLE or JRA??? Lets try to come to a conclusion... and please EXPLAIN your answer, thanks. a 17-year-old girl has had general malaise and progressive intermittent pain in the knees over the past 6 weeks. She has a history of mouth ulcers. She is using hydrocortisone cream to treat a rash on her cheeks. Lab show: Hb 7.2g/dl Hct 31% Leuk 21000/mm3 Plt 37,000/mm3 a. gonococcal arthritis b. juvenile rheumatoid arthritis c. lyme disease d. psoriatic arthritis e. reiter syndrome f. SLE I go for F. SLE due to the clue: rash on cheeks.

SLE this patient has typical SLE's: - young femalerthritis (joint pain) - pancytopenia - mouth ulcer - erythema a. gonococcal arthritis : must have history and symptoms of PID b. juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: similar manifestation, but erythema and pancytopenia are rare c. lyme disease: rash and arthritis, but pancytopenia is rare d. psoriatic arthritis: arthritis, scaly skin signs e. reiter syndrome: urethritis, arthritis, conjunctivitis f.
