it is lentico striate artery ... typically associated with HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE kinda cases most common artery to get ruptured in case of HIGH BP... so I am sorry I would be negatin your statement secondly, intracerbral veins are VERY LOW PRESSURE veins... there is no way that they can attain HIGH PRESSURE by SYSTEMIC HYPERTENSION.... and lastly the area shown in the picture is the area supplied by lenticostriate arteries
