Okay, this ain't gonna be asked but really, would a rabid dog die in any case of the disease, or does it really have something to do with biting, like it's said? The answer has always eluded me. I can be really ignorant, OK?

dog dies of rabies--fatal to dogs as in humans--does not die due to biting as such if bees--however--the bee dies when it stings--this is bcause its sting has barbs which get stuck in the skin--and the sting is ripped out of its body as it flies off--causing a mortal wound to the bee for wasps/hornets etc--the stinger is smooth(no barbs)--so it can sting repeatedly with no ill effects
