First Reading Kaplan Books PLus Lectures (you can go for selected) plus UW (and for real enthusiasts add Pretest )
Surgery ------- 1 Week (skip lectures videos)
Medicine
GI----------- 3d (can skip lectures)
Endo ------- 3d (should do lectures)
Rheum----- 3d (better do lectures)
Preventive and Emergency med--- 2d (must listen to Preventive and skip emergency)
Cardio-------- 5d (must do lectures)
Hemat-------- 3d (better do lectures)
ID------------- 3d (can skip lectures)
Pulmo ---------3d (can skip lectures)
Renal---------- 3d (should do lectures)
Neuro--------- 3d. (must do lectures)
Derma -- First Aid plus listen to lectures and add on to FA.
Optho --- kaplan
Paeds ---- 8 days (listen to general paeds lectures and skip systmes, you can also skip all of it)
Obstetrics --- 4 days (better listen to lectures, and look at the sonograms given in first test of pretest, i had one sono from it, it was neural tube defect).
Gynaecology--- 3-4 days (listen to lecture if you want to really retain it.)
Psyciatry and epidem. --- 3-4 days.
Second reading (Kaplan lecture notes (you should have added any extra points to it plus UW only noted points and explanations (this time underline what really is not in kaplan and your notes will get thinner for next reading ) Plus Kaplan Qbook
Surgery 3 days ( you can do the scenario part this time but not in next readings)
Meidicine GI 1d, Endo 1d, Rheum 1d, Preventive and emergency 1d, (plus one day for some lag, its not precisely 1 day ok) Cardio 1-1/2d, Hemat. 1d, ID 1-1/2d, pulm + nephro + neuro 4d, derma+optholmolgy(kaplan) 1 d Qbook 2d
Paeds 5d
OBGYN 5d
Psych and epid. 2d
Do an assessment test (i did kaplan simulated exam 4 blocks (its 8 blocks in total))
Third reading should be in less than 25 days ( i did it in 17 days )
Do another assessment test and if you are satisfied then
Fourth reading in 2 weeks and then exam.
THIS IS WHAT I DID MINUS THE THINGS I DID AND DIDNOT FOUND THEM GOOD OR NECESSARY BUT TO COMPLETE THE LIST THAT WAS NMS, AL REVIEW for PAEDS, SOME STEP3 QBANK AND ALL OF STEP3 NOTES. NONE OF IT I THINK IS NEEDED TO DO OR WORKS ANY WONDER THOUGH EVERY THING DOES ADD ON TO YOUR TOTAL.

hey thank you so much. that was a good summary of everything. i will try my best to follow a plan like that but i am working part time so lets see what i can get done. i heard that we need to do CMDT as well for medicine.. does anyone have any take on that???
