Hi everyone. I have been reading this forum on and off since last year. I have already posted my diary 4 months ago but wasn't consistent with it. I was suppose to do my Step 1 1st week of June but opted to delay it because I have lots of work and visa issues to deal with. I am done with almost all the Kaplan books 2002 and FA 2006. I also did Qbook and 1/4 of Qbank. I stopped reviewing for 2 weeks because I have to look for my place and have to deal with medical examination and orientation for my work. I'll be starting to work next week and I know it would be harder for me to study since I have to divide my time between work and study. But I know that others have done this and passed the Step 1 with flying colors. I am crossing my fingers and praying hard that I can be one of them also.
I am back with my books again for 5 days now. It is hard to start again after 2 weeks of NO study at all. As if everything is new. I am refreshing myself thru FA. It's difficult and I am going tooo slow. Last month I was going so well with all the prep because I am reviewing with my friend thru phone. But since she already did her her exam, I felt that I am on my own now. I felt that I am so alone in hurdling Step 1.
I have read the most recent post in this forum and I know that this forum has helped lots of future doctors like me and you. I hope you guys will help me too to have a high score. Yup, my goal is not just to pass but to have a good high score. I really need high score since this is my 2nd time to get this exam and I am an IMG.
I am plaaning to take the exam last week of July or first week of August. I don't have the definite date yet because I am still waiting for my work schedule. Once they handed me my work schedule, I can schedule my exam as soon as possible with prometric so that I will have a definite plan for this exam.
As I said I am holding FA now. I am toooo slow. I know I should do lots of Q's... but i think i am to lazy to do that. There should be NO space for laziness this time. But I will do 50Q&A today and finish 30 pages more of FA. Wish me luck.
