Well, only macroscopical appearance of those two lesions is similar since they both present as prominence into the lumen of the larynx. Laryngeal papilloma is a real benign epithelial neoplasm; it is caused by HPV low risk types like 6 and 11. Singer's nodule is not a real neoplasm, as I remember it contains teleangiectasiae and mixomatous stroma, while lining epithelium can be atrophic or hyperplastic or even displastic but no malignant alteration is expected.
