hi
does anyone know why is it that in common variable immune deficiency- CVID, there is an increased risk for autoimmune diseases, like pernicious anemia, taking into account the fact that all the IGs are low... whats the connection or the pathogenesis?
and another one: why in ataxia telangiectasia under lab findings there is an increase in alpha fetoprotein?
(source: Goljan path notes)
thanks
