i thought it could be a good idea if we can write down our relaxation techniques that we usually use in those stressful moments. I believe everybody has a different way so maybe we can help each other to relax even more using diverse techniques.

i hope you like the idea smiling face

listening to music

cooking

shopping

walk
reading other stuff than mle
praying
talking to family

it can be anything other than study
if u meant stress of the whole residency process
pluss generaly also it holds true
develop good hobbies
know ur inner self
know what takes u to another world
plus when u worry think if the world were to end this moment is this the most indispensable thing in the world i should worry about?

just go out &look at the beauty the nature has to provide us
i can go on for ever

but there are times when all of these do'nt work, then it is nothing wrong to cry once in a while to release ur pressure valve

i'm glad you like it.

1st) you have to breath deeply and slowly. you can sit down or lay down in bed. close your eyes. relax your muscles. the room should be in complete silence or with some appropiate instrumental music.

2nd) imagine a brilliant sphere/ball around your head that radiates a little bit of heat around, then that sphere is moving to your neck, arms, chest, and the rest of the body.

OR

2nd) you can simply don't think in nothing, like a white screen, and only feel your breath and your pulse while you are gradually relaxing more and more.

any other technique or suggestion????

Good stuff chemamr!

Time taken out to pray always helps me relax and get my focus back.

I don't know if this counts as a relaxation technique (like the ones you mentioned) per se, but for me .....a good run which gets those endorphins flowing is a great way to de-stress.
