beads of chromosomes?

isnt the dna in the linker region susceptible to endonuclease. hence beads of chromosomes wud be obtained.

any new opinions about this?

  #5

nucleosome is a string of DNA around H2 histone octamer
and there is no linker DNA (it's H1 histones link nucleosomes together to form more condensed structure)
beads on the string = nucleosome (before it gets digested)
and nucleosome is a unit of chromatin
so we left with histones
histones it issmiling face
please correct me if i am wrong

beads of chromosomes...histones dont let the DNA wrapped on them get digested...only linker DNA is digested
