mytime: oh my God - Nooooooooooooooo, i'm not expecting!!!! i was just bored of my previous avatar and was looking for a new one and found this duck which i thought was really cute, so i made it my current avatar. by the way, i like your avatar.
as for dr. barbara hansen's audio and notes, i don't think u need to worry - i'm sure they r good, but i thought dr. lionel raymond was good too and kaplan of course is excellent.
proctalgia, great to see ur progress - very soon u'll be done with the most important subject for step-I. good going.

seems: i know what u mean - even i really miss my family esp during any festival time. but what can we do............ cheer up and get back to your books.
as for me, did nothing yesterday - i was in so much pain, i just couldn't move my right arm and shoulder. i literally cried - my poor hubby felt so bad - he came back early from work and took me out, to divert my mind. anyway, today is a new day!!! i went to a doctor this morning - he's advised some blood work-up and an MRI of the cervical spine. lets see........
hope i'm able to read something today - please remember me in your prayers. my hope is in my Lord, who is the greatest physician!

Sorry to know that you are in so much pain. I hope and pray that you get well soon and keep up with your studies.
Seems , good to know that you enjoyed the company of your friends on Eid. I know how you feel. It takes a few years to get used to celebrating Eid without your parents and friends but sooner or later all of us have to get used to it . sigh.
We are also having another Eid party this weekend. Now I want these parties to end and let us get back to our study mode. 
Proctalgia , you are so lucky to almost get done with pathology. It is taking me for ever. I am really enjoying it though,and am finding it much easier that other subjects I read before. If you find Dr.Henson's notes and audio please let me know . I would love to have a look on thm. I need to improve my biochem and I am kind of person who does not want to read the same thing again and find it interesting to read the same topic from different sources , although for USMLE people advise the other way round.
Today I am reading neoplasia with Goljan. My printer is giving me hard time and I have wasted one hour in my effort to print the notes.I have one more hour before I pick up the kids from schools. I better go back to books now and read a few more pages before I go.

Hi guys...I wrote to u yesterday but Mr. l'le Sir messed with the pc and all disappeared...HIde and seek..ehh??
Looks like everyone is doing better.I was down with a mild flu so i just rested yesterday.Today will be meeting my study group.
SEEMS i have been wondering as to what are u supposed to being reading now. Hey next week we'll update ok?///I'm never in sync with my time table but still. U know i had been missing mamma too so when i read ur post i became miserable even though wanted to tell u ...MAIN HOON nA.

I am down with flue and am feeling soooo depressed on this cold and breezy fall morning. Hubby is working over the weekend. We were supposed to go to a party today but due to my sickness I do not feel like going anywhere . Do not even want to step out of my cozy bed.

Hi all,
i am an IMG from India..completed graduation and done wth the one yr internship this yr.i have been studying for PG entrance in my home country..but then changed to MLE.so am a bit late to start wth.now i am studying full time.
i wanna join this group..i satrted my step1 prep few days back..but was not being able to do properly. feeling lost at times. hope joining this grp will help me !! i was doin physio from kaplan LN ..bt its not complte.now satretd wth patho. (BRS +Kaplan)
btw..i have kaplan 2004..a friend of mine who took kaplan coaching this yr told me this is the latest edition..so i bought this one. btu here i can see..u guys are doing wth 05-06 !! then??
i am aiming to sit for step1 in Jan end or early feb.will register in the first wk of nov. u all have finished wth the regn??

HI everybody,
love to all and I know everybody is doing fine, although I am sitting on my computer after more than a month, my baby had been sick , some other factors in life, sometimes threads of life gets tangled up but now gradually I am getting back. I did not want to disappear like this, but I was pretty disturbed , now I coming back to myself.

Sorry for my absence. I was and still am very busy here in Toronto. The time is flying and I have very few days left for me to return. It was a pleasure to meet family after 6 years. Wow !!!!!!!!! it is so good to hear from many of our missed ones as well as some new freinds.
First of all thank you very much proctalgia ,seems and mytime for your good wishes . By the grace of God I am feeling much better today. Thanks to the herbal tea a friend of mine advised , the episode ended soon.
Proctalgia, are you done with patho or not yet?
Mytime, how is your group study going ? Tell us some more about how you guys study. Are you all doing the same subject or revising a subject together? It sounds like a good idea to have a group to study and discuss together.
Seems, I hope you are coming back to studies now. I fully understand how hard it is to study along with your social activities.But dear , we have to push ourselves to get back into study mode asap. I am also unable to come back to books after all those parties and am lagging way behind my schedule. Hope we get back to it soon.
Ohhhhhhh......OLDKIDONTHEBLOCK..........so nice to hear from you and to know that you are having good time with your family. Enjoy these precious moments. I am sure you will hit the books with a new entheusiasm when you come back to your place. Wish you a fun filled stay in Toronto.
Rashmi verma, it is pleasure to hear from you. I hope your son is doing well now and you can concentrate on your studies. As a mother I can understand how hard it is to see your child suffer. I wish your son a copmlete recovery . I am sure you will be back in groove and make up for the lost time very soon .
dr.ss , you are most welcome to join our group. Each one of us is reading a different subject and for almost all of us, it is our first read. I am reading patho and so is proctalgia but he is towards the end of it while I am still in the beginning. Try having Goljan audio and notes for patho. He is a wonderful teacher and I love the way he integrates all the subjects. People do not recommend Kaplan for patho but in my opinion , it is not bad at all if you use it along with Goljan. I have not tried BRS , so cannot comment on it.
leenu , you are also most welcome to join our group if you like to.
Zenith, I hope your neck and shoulders are treating you well and you are keeping up with your studies. Please keep in touch.

wow! As UniQue rightly said..just wonderful hearing from all.Now I wish JAIDE AND TARGET would hasten up. Actually i think we all need to do something abt our slow speeds now especially myself...i start with such enthu but end up lagging. Always something or the other or plain nothing.
About the study group we all do the same stuff during the week and meet on Friday's to discuss.Besides me we have docs from Pakistan, Nigeria and Germany....and everyone feels obliged to study.we met just twice and are done with Genetics...I think all of u sud do the same on Yahoo chat during our 2nd read.At least we who can...just one day of the week.I'm ging to speed up now like New n Lost has been telling everyone....or we'll forget what we did and then get stuck in this vicious circle.......So if by the end of the week i don't leave biochem u guys have full authority to make me feel awful plz..do it ..i deserve it now.
I hope those who joined yesterday will continue. As will the ones already here and Next week we all update or I'll keep bombarding pms till we all do........since i'm the worst hit always ..i take initative. Don't forget to give me verbal spanking...I'm asking u once again.
