hey guys
1st of allvleprikhan welcome to this great family with very loving people. i m sure u ll find th esupport u need in this forum.
w eall are having this fight againstUSMLEW, some have gone far ,some have just strted and some r in th emiddle. u too can start all over again ,nothing is th end of the world , u coudlnt do it then so what ?u can do it now ,after alll thousands of people have done it b4 us ,we already have been thru thses same subjects during our med school days ,its nothing new, all we need is a little courage ,and dedicationtowards our books. all ui need is to read the right books and just get the concepts and memrize it .
u l lwill 4 sure do it ,u ll find people in this forum ,who r managing studiies with 3 kids and taking care od the husbands and families , i m sure u have more time to give to ur studies.
so what ever happend in the past ,is past let it go ,stay in th epresent an dmake a good use of it ,and 4 sure u ll do great. jsut focus on present and today ,what and how much can u use today ,4get abt the past. so budyy start allover gain from the begining ,with a fresh mind and a positive attitude ,and u ll get a 99 thsi time . hard work nevr goes wasted ,ALLAH always rewards it.

Hey Guys, how are you. I am overwhelmed from your response. Thankyou so so much 'mytime, unique1 and seems'. You guys are absolutely right about feeling down n out. It does nothing but waste time. I am InshAllah going to start tomorrow and pace myself to full staeam in week or so. Everyone here is so kind and welcoming and i appreciate your sincerety to no end. Hi Friends,
Nobody has reported I think due to the weekend. Well, I have been doing Anatomy, this time not in fast pace. Finished Histo and Embryo as there is not much in Kaplan, but I think just enough and board relevant. Yes Unique, I am doing Gross now. Seems, Ramadan hopefully will start by 23 or 24th of Sep. Somebody asked about my wife, yes she is a dentist. Well, I hope all are having nice weekend except few of us who have their exams very close like Dartikaz whom I feel is making the most of the weekend.
Well guys hope to get more reports from you.....

Not much postings! Probably took a break 4 wek end.
I started renal physio but could not do much because we entertained a friend who visited us after a long time.I will study a couple of hours tonight to make up for the lost hours.

Hey guys. Thanks again for the welcome. Ive basically picked my self up... i just have to face the disappointing look in my parents eyes.. I think theyll know by tom. I just wanna know one thing.Is it ok or smart to take the NBME! BEFORE i start studying. I never took it before the actual Exam.. stupid move.. but is it worth taking just to see where i stand?? or is that a dumb move.?? Once again.. good to see that everyone here keeps in touch. If anyone is in the NY, or NJ area and would like to get together to go over, revise some material / questions, im ure man.

HI,
I am posting after weekend, THANX to mytime, unique and others who keep the thread running, weekends I do not get even a minute with kids and hubby at
home, right now my baby is sleeping so I am able to post, I just read leprikhan had posted, I guess everybody had given encouragement, I will just say my opinion, life is not full of miseries but CHALLENGES, EVERYBODY HAS SOME BLESSINGS IN LIFE and some hardships, only in different shapes and sizes, I had been fighting with a medical illness last 5 yrs, which could not be diagnosed and now I live with it all my life, its arthritis ,also struggling with my mothers cancer and now she passed away, so just appreciate what GOD gives u and and do yur best.
I srarted with haemat , right now I am bit slow, as I am busy with kids as my husband is taking his boards, I guess I will be better after 2nd wk sept, after my husbands boards. BYE

Yes, we all have challenges in our lives and you have to face them and live upto your dreams and more over the expectations of others.
Rashmi I am sorry to know about your arthritis but what type is it? Rheumatoid or Osteoarthritis? Which joints are affected? I am also having Premature Ventricular Contractions and I get them infrequently, aggravated by stress and work. Also I am having exercise induced asthma and though salbutamol is contraindicated for my heart condition (as it provokes PVCs) still I take it coz I hate to take steroids at this point of time.
So we all have our problems but we move on to meet the expectations of our loved ones and also to prove ourselves that yes I can do it, whatever comes in the way..

WHAT I WAS TRYING TO SAY.....is nothing to report just came back from my son's follow up appt.Looks like he needs tubes in his ears...........so there goes my schedule into the bin...anyway....i'll try to do something now..it's already 3pm and i just managed to put him down for a nap.Poor kid he feels this pain........... not fair.
ok........nevermind i'm still going to do what i mean to do.........afterall.....we have Supermom's in our midst...Rashmi and Unique1.

mytime soo sorry to hear abt ur son. i really cannot see kids when they r having problems ,mann they r soo tiny , i wish th eparents could take all the pain.
i ll pray 4 him ,h ell be fine INSHA ALLAH soon ,dunt worry , i mean try not to worry cz definetly u ll be . but as u said ,u have to manage stuff ,like the super moms that we have on the forum ,hats off to all of u who r managing wz kids,really u guys r great .

Hi all,
First of all thankx for remembering me.
Last few days have been a mess. There were so many things to take care of that everything was going out of control. Kids are starting new school year , their open houses, last minute back to school shopping , doctors appointments as my two kids have asthma and to top all this , my youngest one got her fingers crushed in the car door. OMG , I am not that disorganised , but seems like need to work on it a little more.
In short, no studies in the last few days . Hope to come back into swing of things by tomorrow.
Good to know that proctalgia, oldkidontheblock and seems are smoothly moving forward. Seems , I was not planning to post today as had no progress to report but your cute post made me drop these lines. Thanx buddy .
Mytime, I hope and pray that your son gets well soon. Little sweetie ......having so much pain .God bless him.

O guys..........al i managed to do was cope up with some left over questions today..tomorrow i intend to go full swing at Endo....i can't wait to start a new subject.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh UNIQUE1.I'm so sorry about ur kids.....God bless them all.Hope the l'le one didn't suffer oo much.I'm sure u taught the other too to be capable enough to deal with an attack..The good side to it al is that..one day they'll be over it.

hello all u hard working,wonder ppl!!!! my progress is good...goljan has about 300 pgs...while the audio is a whole day's effort,mayb two... so as of rite now ..im done with general path...8 chapters..the audio has only cell injury and neoplasia....but thats really ok..coz the rest of general path is easy...in fact ...im finding path like a breath of fresh air ....also due to the time restraints..iv decided to do path like its my second read... come on guys....we hace to do this....better sooner then later...

Its nice to get in touch with everyone, I wish uniques kid is feeling better, kids need so much emotional comfort, besides care, they need so much love.
I guess mytime, yur son is feeling better now, daycare in us, I dont know why there is so much ear infection, I started sending my 18 month old to daycare but he was struggling all the time with URI, ear infection, I pulled him back, its a pain to see yur kids sick.
Oldkid, it was nice to share, I do not know why GOD gifted human beings with ailments, but on the other hand i feel it made me a better human being, more empathetic.I feel stress is the biggest enemy, for me i tried every possible treatment on earth, but naturopathy did work.
I see most of the parents getting their kids settled in school, ask me , my 2 elder ones ,new school, driving back & forth to school, yesterday half day at PTA
I somehow managed haemat , tried to start GI, I am trying to buy goljan AUDIO from ebay, Iwil appreciate if someone could suggest as I AM BIT CONFUSED regarding 100 page , lecture notes, DVD.
BYE guys happy studying, I cant believe when I do not see U, i miss u, its amazing, we have not seen each other, we are all Sitting all around world, still we CONNECT.

I just finished acid base balance section and now moving to hormones.Mytime i guess you are already through this section.
