Hi.......cool

UNIQUE: I have KLN 2005, pirated material and yes these are few of the initial charts and then starts chapter 2 with bombardment of tables. I think there is not much change except in the end they have given appendices on CD Markers, Cytokines, Adhesion Molecules and Mechanisms of Resistance to Microbial Infections. The linked you gave me of my missing pages after download showed the same stuff except these appendices. I was indeed referrring to these charts....grin

MYTIME: Thanks for your offer but Tulane University is in US and I checked in Canada I couldn't find any such master's program. I would love to do MCH coz I intend to go into pediatrics so it may help me later. You can still checkout from your friend if she knows about any such program in Canada or about MPH/MHA...their prospects.

SEEMS: 50 Pages wow.......you are going at the speed of light...congrats!!! I admire your speed...I wish I could do that...disapproval

TARGET: Looks like you have got into the mood to crush this exam like a cockroach...yucky...nodnodnod Keep it up!!!!

Hi everyone,
Thank you .
I needed an advice and I knew someone from this group can help me.
I am old graduate, graduated in 2000 and am now doing MPH since 2005.So,have been in USA since a year only.my question to you is -Is it possible to read for MLE +do a thesis+job(20hrs/wk). I am slow reader and going back and forth .Get very home sick off and on.I have seen here in the group and its so motivating to see that ,there are people here with so many prob and get up and are doing so well. i treid to do but ...........Can some one give me some suggestions. Is it not good idea to go on with MPH amd MLE ???????IS anyone doing PHD and studying for MLE troo.Pls i wolud really appreciate suggestions.

  #431

COOLSUCH.the friend i earlier mentioned from tulane...went through the same problem but she had other problems as well...U know katirina disaster and all.She tried to do it all passed her MPH but unfortunately failed USMLE....the thing is that she didn't have a whole lot of support going on for her then and i think its also about reading consistently even if for a longer period but from the right materials....i don't think she could at that time afford it.U found ur way into this forum and u'll find ur way out.
The thing i learnt from my mistakes were doubting for even one moment that this exam was doable also not knowing where to go for help.fortunately for my friend i and my family stepped in after Katirna..she stayed with us for 6 months those were not easy days for us but we cudn't let her go.Now she has a job in the deptt. she graduated from and is also preparing for USMLE yet again...I hope that helps.
What i mean is this is certainly possible..DON't QUIT on either.....but go priority based and consistently....if u really want it.

OLDKID...i don't think she'll know abt CANADa but 'l ask.
GOOD lUCK all...i have to go bring my warriors home....tata!

also, would like to welcome dartikaz - u'll be glad u joined this highly motivational group of ours.

its great to see eveyone in the mood to smash this exam. u guys r doing so good, i'm ashamed of myself - will try to cope up from now on. life is all about falling down and having the courage to stand right back. and thats exactly what i'm going to do now. have to cook right now, so rest later............

Wow guys! this is looking good..........Looks like most of us are lingering around micro/physio and biochem. Hope we can all soon catch up on each other. Zenith good to have you back - lets start again girl! Thanks for editing the post. Like unique says, the forum is vibrating (hope it will keep me awake and burn some midnight oil).
Ok guys, as for me came home really exhausted, so had a nap as per this forum's advice and it extended more than a nap so it is 10 p.m and my son has gone to bed and I am going to hit micro.........lets you how much I cover and I will report back before I get to bed.

Coolsuch, I know how you feel.......It can be hard to handle graduate school especially at the time of thesis and with a job too. I did my Ph.D. in 4 years and was not able to do handle the USMLE at all well but actually thinking of it I could have. I have friends who did Ph.D. and passed with a 4.0 GPA (husband and wife )and scored 99 of the boards. They spaced their exams over one year each for step1 2 and 3. I managed a 4.0 GPA but left a big hole in my USMLE plans. ANother colleage joined for a PHD but cleared her MLE 's but did not do good at all in her PHD and had to wind up with a masters which worked out good for her but she did not have a good opinion from her mentor and others, which ofcourse matters for reco letters in the USA. So bottom line, prioritize your options if you want to take the boards maybe take few credit hours ( minimum for F1 eligibility) and then when you finish your steps you can wind up yours masters.

Now to the rest of you, we all know whom to go now when you have a question in biostatistics ------------ZENITH, the statistics gal for our thread! Ho ho .........I am off to micro now! Come one bugs ..........I am going to get you!

oopsy...almost forgot ...
Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture...Do not build up obstacles in your imagination.
