Sorry for staying away so long. I have finally switched my hours a bit and with daylite savings time I think I am about ready to start again.

I picked up physio again these last two days and am up to flow regulation. But that was before I visited the thread. I would like to join you guys in the system wise study group. I do hope it is not too late. I know that you are doing cardio. What is the target date for completion? It seems that Target was talking this weekend.
Jena: welcome and also to all the new ones. Do not have a date for my exam as of yet and will not pick one up until I feel satisfied that my effort toward studying is good, concrete and serious. Hopefully sooner thatn later.

Hi Novak, Than you for your post. So, that means what the FA say "phase 1 : voltage gated K channels begin to open" is wrong.

 Jena ... FA I am reading cause is used by preper as common books & also have high light, important etc, but better do FA after knowing subj or do side by side with kap etc as u did , since sooooooooooo many mistake in there .
So better team up with some one read know subj well or even just prepper at more or less level , so 2 head can know there is mistake there .
Yup , sad that now adays alot of books even famous impt one liek FA, RR path etc hav maj mistakes , so we cannot do like back in med or high school as genious student self study , self taught .
Same in almost every books , so read with caution , when in doupt either ask, check , google at reliable source like here to NV  etc will answer .

NV ...... am also love to used to read anatomy , embryo in subway , but have to stop when the diagrams in books gives to the passengers in train , so am thinking which to carry on train  no idea yet .
May b will do flash card by self for anatomy without the drawing ..

I am not sure if I am going to be able to finish cardio by friday as we said. Could we add a couple of days more?, I have tomorrow all day free so will try to hurry up, but still in physio.

Shwe, thank you for your suggestion that we should read FA side by side with KLN or other books. What a pity that the mistakes in there. I thought FA is a very valuable companion for MLE. But now, we should be careful. And, dear friends, please post here if you find mistakes in FA.
Novak, I am still in physiology too. I don’t think I can finish path and phar by this weekend since weekend is my busiest day. Family is one of the motivation for me to do MLE, but meanwhile, family life makes me lazy. Well, everything has its two sides.
Anyway, we need hurry up!

Jena , here is official FA site, look at update ... ie the error correction for 2008 .
They will update again , said in April or so , jsut check it regularly .
ur welcome jena .
Can check 2007 etc I guess .
Do FA with any main books ur using , for me I use common one as everyone r using , kap LN as maiun with HY, BRS etc as my mind go . But so far not using FA side by side yet since my time frame is not permitted yet .
NV , jena do as much as in time frame , if cannot try ur best to b not much delay , but keep it up spirit so when have time ur mind will all set to study full swing.
I am also working on time plan in studying , but with last cold to get full recovery , & now match days abit spending time more on seeing, up & down , how the match as trying to understand the emotional & technical journey to b preperred for that when time come to get immune
Ok , enough day dreaming with the happy , sad match wave .

Shwe, hope you recover soon, it seems that a lot of days have passed and you are still battleling the cold virus. So hope you get better soon!
Yes Jena, FA has a lot of mistakes, I have 2007 book, and I haven't picked it up, because I want to read from other sources first.
I am going to work in the evening, I thought I had the day off, but I am going to cover for a friend, I don't know why I said Yes, I should of stayed home and studied but well, I already said Yes, can't back off out of it, I will work 3:30 pm to 8 pm. So will try to read at the office.

Hi guys,
How are you all! Shwe, thank you for enlightening the thread. Thanks for the link too - didnt know about it . I think this is the first week - it is kind of slow at my end too and I am working on a deadline this Monday. I managed to finish pathology since I was already on path - maybe will catch up on the rest . But lets take 2 more days and try to keep our target. Zade welcome back! Jena I know it is hard with family but believe me there is no better time than now. I heard someone say " A man without any problems is dead". This battle is amidst our problems - if we have that in mind I think we should be not be put away by setbacks.

For RR patho fan , this is good site to get involved , eevn cannot participate weekly , but I think we can , we should , rt TG , U , NV , Zade , jena , KG , kamY , ACCC , any one ?? GG & NNL r already there
NV , well I am not the surgery realted fan but who knows , apart from that I am into all just kidding , I love all NV & done alots varieties too , even the teaching in wards , bed side or in class , small group , from phone to home tutor [ for free as passionate to teach ] , so will see .

Novak, you said you'll work long time this week. Take care! About residency, just like Taget said: it's like a dream so far. I think if I can luckyly pass all these tests, I'll try to find an easiest one.
Target, you are right----"there is no better time than now". Just sometime can't follow the study plan well and then lose the confidence. I should focus on it and I will.

It's a good motivator for all of us here too , as grd long ago , he is also working FT .

Thanks Jena for remembering, I am actually not going to work on the evenings liked I planned, so I have no excuse. Tuesday and Wednesday I have to study for my class (I teach), but Thursday to Sunday I have to dedicate myself more.
I am actually trying to look for a new job for in the mornings but had no luck, I need one that pays me more I can't save money for the exams and pay bills, and I don't have money for my parents medical expenses, I am starting to feel overwelmed by this.

Hi system girls.....(that reminds me shwe is right (as always) we need guys to balance)
where are we ? Tues is gone... I pretty much tugged on only path portion of CVS and vascular will catch up this weekend with the rest of the subjects. Let us try to finish it by Friday if you havent already. Jena99 (hope things are conducive to study), Novak (no more excuses) , Zade (pl.visit more often) and shwe (what are you upto in studies?) - let us go for it .....the beginning is slow but our pace will improve as we keep at it. This is our year !

Hi Novak, good luck with your job hunting.
I tried to figure out which book is better for me for the pathology, kaplan or Goljan. Most people said Goljan is a must, unfortunately, I felt I am not fit Golijan's style. What do you guys use?

Jena ... RR path is better after knowing other subjs , understand them at least , if not just read RR quick then read other subj well then back to RR , that will give u more sense & by time u will b pro of all subj , then review , Qs adding knowledge , ur set .
Have a good study week ahaed & Happy April Fool Day on Tusesday frds .
TG ... with the RR report will b not daily or so soon since .. report will b just I done this topics .. not chpt as whole sysytem , since is no good to rush if going to know it well after done other subj at least once or after open up other subj as needed .

Target, Shwe, Thanks for giving me such good suggestion. Yes, if I know the other subjects better, I’ll feel easier with the Goljan.
My daughter got otitis media and have to stay at home all the time. But, like target said --- there are no excuse. Wish to finish pathology soon. Let’s see who finish the cardio first.

I finished histology, embriology, some pharm and anatomy of cardio, I am going to finish anatomy and finish pharm and path by friday.
