Mytime, focus, indidoc1, keepgoing, zade, unique1, jaide, newnlost, seems, oldkid, target, shwe, anmelie, proctalgia, aim99......and everyone I don't want to forget any names, and there so many new names now.
WOW It feels good to write HI, I have been away from this thread for some time now, for almost 2 or 3 months, the reason is that I was very angry with myself for not focusing and studying that I punished myself to come here,  .
I told my self I wouldn't write until I finished biochem, since I haven't studied regularly took me a long time, but finallly I finished biochem and starting genetics, my first read.
I am happy to read about proctalgia and anmelie...congrats!!!!!!, if I remember correctly I think indi's exam is coming up soon right?, good luck!!
I've already talked to my employers and I am taking 2 months off work!!, I know 2 months is very little time to prepare properly for step 1, specially if you want to score in the 90's, but I have to do something drastic, and since I have been day dreaming about doing step 1 for many years now, started buying books for a couple of years now, and have only finished ONE READ OF ONE SUBJECT (biochem), I think I have to work under pressure and try my best in preparing for step 1 in 2 months. 
I really missed you guys, thank you to those who asked about me and dropped by my journal.
I will let you know as soon as I leave my job (I really can't afford to, but it is this or spending another year dreaming about USMLE), this is going to happen in a couple of days, so wish me luck!.

WElcome back Novak, so nice to see you back.
I did stop my FT job too, but still in PT , wish can stay FT study without PT.
All my friends here are already in residency & almost done except some in longer program, eg surgery. They all study FT while I barely study seriously with FT job , but still try very hard to study at the end of the long hr FT day job .
By time, I also have good reason for FT job, financial.
Though now not that alot better than b4 financially, I think if I sacrified earlier I will better off earlier & get my MD dream to save life, so think positive , be brave , dare to do that .

Novak, so good to hear from u – congrats on making that decision – I’m sure it wasn’t easy, but in the long run, it’ll all be worth it…….hang on to your dreams……..Shwe is right – u HAVE to make that sacrifice – its either now or later!

Aim99 , I know what you mean. These bugs are really dragging. I also could never finish anything on time. When you look at the pages , these are few but when you start reading them , they take for ever . Anyway , keep moving , you will be there soon.

BUGS, don't even ask! I'm trying to finish up so many different things I had left behind. U guys are done?????????? Want me to start with Immuno or what? Lemme know...
NoVAK so good to here from u again. Keep it that way. From what I last knewe INDI has his test in June as does FOCUS! Haven't heard from either in a long while though.

Well mytime , I have finished the bugs but will have to take a couple days off . Z is also doing viruses. I am not sure if someone else is with us. So I was thinking it would be a good idea to start Immuno after the long weekend . What do you guys think ?

unique: that sounds perfect. And u were so right about how it takes forever to finish up. second reading might make everything look familiar and a lot easier, but it still takes time to go over the topics. haven't been able to do much in the past couple of days - have been feeling quite low. anyway, will try to wrap up viruses soon.
mytime: finish up babe - u have the whole weekend to catch up and then lets get immunology rolling from next week.

KG. Thank u. Life was so topsy turvy that i sure nothing i wrote sounded straight. I'm finishing up my sytems along with bugs and a few qs here and there. With clarity next week I sud be onto Immuno and blood. Finishing up my systems alone while revising other stuff with the family here. U can revise Immuno with us as it's gonna get done next week itself then we'll move onto Genetics and Mol. bio. And ya about Rohit's being back feels like home again.

Kid ,Good to hear from you and thanks for the pm.Don't you worry , you will do good InshaAllah. I am sure you will study even better when you have your days off work. BTW , making notes while doing any qbank is a good idea. There are things which we overlook or are not mentioned in Kaplan notes but they are there in the qbanks. Wish you all the best.

Hi guys, thank you for welcoming back, I have a couple of guardian angels, just regular good people that surely God has put in my path to help me in this journey of fullfilling my dreams, they are helping me buy books for the steps, so I am currently doing a list of books that I would like for them to try and get me for step 2 ck and cs and step 3.
If I don't get serious this time around considering all this help, I should really get a good whipping mytime, jejeje, it is almost a sin I think to have this much support from everyone, including you guys, and not advance in my studyies.
I am happy because today I talked with the doctor who is going to replace me for the next couple of months in my job.
I am reading genetics I am in the second chapter, but I will try to follow you guys for the immuno part for next week.
I have a question you guys, I have questions from q bank in word format, and a friend of mine let me use her online version for a couple of days and I saw that I have exactly the same questions, so my question is, they always tell you that you need to do a lot of questions, is it the same to read them on paper or practicing doing them only and timed is what helps you for the test? I am wondering this because I don't know if I am going to be able to buy an online q bank.

Want to drop HELLO, to all nice people in this thread, especially to those wondering where did I disappeared? Every day I try to keep my chin up and smile on my face, but it is so hard, fell so down for the couple of last weeks (sight). Despite how I feel ,still doing my best, working on Mcq's from Kaplan Qbank, and kind of enjoy doing it. Also started Pathology,and can not forget about Micro, but this one is just burning me out, got stuck on viruses still.
Oh, folks, you should see the spring at the ocean, it is just so distracting and magnificent. Yesterday i just seen the dolphins, you could feel the free spirit in their prefect swimming motions.
Mytime, I'm very slow learner, not sure if I will be able join you in Immunology . Still behind in Micro. BTW, very happy for your family, all together now, that how it suppose to be.
Zade, glad everything worked out for you. The health is sure one precious thing .

Goodgirl , nice to hear from you. Enjoying the whales han ?? and you know what ?? almost all of us here are slow learners . That's why this group is here for almost a year now and some of us ( eg. me ) are still on their 1st read .
What I mean to say is , do not let your speed make you feel low . Everyone has thier own special circumstances and cannot be directly compared with others. Less time available for studies or being a slow learner only means a little longer prep time than those who can study full time or are fast learners. You are doing a commandable job of studying for this test with a little sweetheart to take care of and other responsibilities. So chin up girl !!! ....... Yeah, that's like a good girl !!!

JAIDE TALK to SSS she had gotten around te same then sat down and fixed and just did better. GUYS SSS's test next Saturday. She will do great! So JAIDE so will u. Ur score isn't so bad but learn from it and stay put! It's ur time now, both of urs....
NOVAK naaa giving the whip a rest. U'll catch with everything. Don't worry. SEEMS was away in Middle-east for 2 months and by the time she got back all of had done a lot and she took a big while to settle down after but now she's more than caught, working her butt off aaand doing so much better than most of us. As I believe are NNL and INDI and FOCUS...........so girl there's a time and then there is a time. It's theirs soon and urs will follow. Stay Consistent..........just don't let go of those books. We have ppl. like UNIQUE and GG to learn from so keep ur eyes on them. And whatever happens don't let go. Even KID is working so hard.
Wonder now how ZADE is doing!?
SHWE don't u check ur yahoo anymore and what happened to ur plan of meeting up and talking to each other..it was so good and we all were looking fwd. to it.
GG we hear u!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But u are a wonderful mom and person and one day will be a great doc here. U just let that brillant strength u have to shine through!!!!!!!!! And like U. says u are not slow we all are. LEave the Viruses for now i'll make u come back to them again. thanks mytime for asking me to join immuo with u gals but i ahve started pharma now b/c this was i worry alot im very weak but im not b/c i have not done it with haert b4 so cant say this but def needed to do it 1st..lets see if with mol genetics i could join u gals...

sometimes i also think go disapprear n study b/c seeing prep for ayear now gives me panicky attacks...but i was my choice to go slow so whom to complain...anyways...

Not done much after finishing micro. Finished score95.com micro questions though. Also did downloaded micro Kaplan qbank . Learned new things from Kaplan qs , which are either not mentioned in the notes or I over looked while reading them and when I opened the notes to add them there , was surprised to see that they were already mentioned there. The lesson I learned was , that every word in Kaplan is important.
I have a suggestion guys if you like it. As we do our 2nd read , we should do questions after finishing each subject and should share our scores . This way , we can judge ourselves where we stand as compared to others and how much we need to study more. I am not sure if anyone will like this idea but it is just a thought , if you guys agree.

wow unique i am kinda impress how do manage studying whole night how you are managing time with three kids i am with one only totally disorganized how many hrs you study everyday or around books all the time? good luck.
