MYTIME, did you get it? I hope you make much use of it as it was supposed to be a surprise gift for me from the husband- he ended up being surprised as I had gotten a copy muuch earlier, hehe. This guy keeps getting me MLE stuff (UW, FA, Crush), its driving me nuts! But I hope you get to use it well.
Just got back also from a week in Virginia and DC with hubby, so I will just be missing AIM's vacation. Hope you have a lot of fun there, my friend. You deserve it!
Hey SHWE, I will be taking my CS this July but I haven't started my preparation yet. I have been reading your posts about it though and you make me wanna just give a go at it even though its still three months away. Slow but steady preparation never hurt anyone. Thanks for inspiring me, am now hacking away at my FA CS book. Hopefully this will be good for over the weekend.
UNIQUE and GOODGIRL, I hope you both have great weekends with the kiddos, who will be having the time of their lives, I'm sure.
NNL and INDI, when will you be taking your exams? This last stretch will do wonders for you, God bless you both!

Guys, I need help please.
I really don’t understand vestibular nystagmus, i.e. the underlying mechanics for why rotation with a vertical axis will elicit nystamus to whatever direction. Really don’t what to remember by heart, I would love to read the mechanics as to WHY this happens.
I couldn’t find any source. Would be lovely if any of you could help.

Is that good, in terms of helping , understanding subj or concept with important for st 1 .
How many Qs there , how it the style, format ?
Thanks. Now both UW 60$ sale, last day , end of this month, with this score 95, hard to choose. I am still reading, not going to do Q till 1 or 2 read done, so any advice, idea?

Shwe, something is wrong with my PM so will just post here! Thanks for the quick response! I'm also planning to take Step 2 CK around the same time so I don't know if I'm cramming things too much. Am just starting to study both so I'll see how things go from here on.
Unique, I am in NYC but hubby had his vacation leave for the past two weeks so I've been taking a vacation from studies as well. But its back to reality- you were all having fun with the bugs  and you all inspire me to work harder- so will be putting in those hours in the library.

So far you're the closet to me compare with others except all here at north .
Used to hop on off to NYC, DC etc in east on Friday .
Will bug you if in NYC next time. Last time was few yrs ago .
Any way, can you at least pm me "Now", your e mail with the id & your name, so I can mail you more CS related, my contact no. etc to your e mail & the info name of the CS Dr. of Chicago, etc .

Hi everyone:
Sorry for not posting earlier but did not have any news.
I want to think all of u 4 the prayers and the tremendous support from tha old and new members. What a family I have here!! I do not know where I would have been without ur encouraging words. Indi's in details differential diagnosis has releived some of my worries. I saw my internist on Friday and a mammogram is scheduled for Tuesday morning. I am still praying and will keep u posted . In the mean time I have picked up my books and continuing with patho while also doing the bugs with you guys.
Studying will take my mind off things while waiting as I can not do anything until I know my diagnosis.
So with the grace of God I am going to pick up my books again and try to get back in the groove.
Once again, thanx a lot guys and girls. U R my friends and support. I will post again soon.

I found out about how it works for rotation in a vertical axis. However, I'd also like to know how it works for rotation in a horizontal axis and sagital axis, i.e. when you sit on a rotatory chair with head resting on the should or leaning forward. In these two cases, which verstibular apparatus is stimulated and which is inhibited?
I'll post my source asap.

Yes, Kaplan has explained vestibular pathology sufficiently for Step 1, however it only focused on nystagmus on a horizontal level, in connection with lateral gaze. I want to know the mechanics for nystagmus in a up/down, circular motion as well. I'll post whatever I can find soon.
Well you could see it as a test, but I dont know the answer myself just yet.
