Gosh……those smileys are hilarious – thanks mytime, unique , jaide and shwe – its always such a pleasure to take little breaks from work and check our thread. U guys are awesome.
Mytime: your other thread had my sides splitting. That fat woman was way tooooooo funny and I’m sure you look nothing like her………

NNL : with your preparation and crystal clear concepts, u should be anything but jittery – but I understand – this exam really gets the better of us - keep trucking along my friend – the goal is finally in sight and victory is not very far now. You’re in my prayers.

Oh and by the way, I just received an email about some seminar this Friday – you know one of those usual work-related emails sent to all users – I was just going to delete it, when I happened to notice the name of the speaker – its “Dr. Barbara Hansen” – I wonder if it’s the same woman who teaches Biochemistry. If its her, I’m definitely going – Barbara:Biochem as what Paapi: Path.

Hi Guys I guess My Jitters were Transfered to My Internet connection which went to hell last evening came back up. I was so sacred cos the last time it happened i was just 15 days away from the exm in Spet Last yr. Had to Literally gear up everything in th ehouse cos of thast damn Thunderstorm. either this is a sign for me to rethink my strategy or wht i dont know. it just got back i have to go n have my pc n DSL modem looked into before i call the ppl for Line problems cos they will charge me extra for nothing.

hi shwe: u r right - biochem lectures are by Dr. Lionel Raymond - he's very good too. but Barbara Hansen is supposed to be the best for Biochem. anyways, i can't go for her seminar - my boss scheduled a meeting at that time  , so...............will never know how good she is.

hello everyone! Target alive and reporting. Sorry I have not been opening the site for a long time until now and I am moved by all those who missed me and noticed I was gone. Well I didnt come to the thread because I didnt feel like telling this enthusiastic group that I am quitting USMLE for good and bring down your spirits. Just burnt out and feel it keeps me down from doing a lot of other portfolio I have to be fulfilling in my day to day life ......I hope you all understand. Guess I have got it out my system now. So, good luck all the hardworkers, my heros and heroine's and moms who rock, new comers, oldies......and hope 99 is on its way to many of you - "Old medicos finally made a 99". - Dont forget... See TARGET READ what UNIQUE has said...or not said...plz don't throw it away when it's almost within ur grasp........ I haven't called lately coz things haven't been good here either but that's life and we live it !An every phase seems TOUGH while we go through it but we keep on and that's y we win and gradually find happiness! I'm sorry that Icouldn't help u more......... Iknow that any of our verbal support our help is of no use, like before, till u decide u want it and budge an inch or many for us. U have no faith in yourself after achieving so much, so how wil u have faith in our faith of u.?! I pray for u and Rohit and hope u find ur way through this maze and whatever u decide to do also find strength and everlasting happiness! Whatever gives u a sense of peace follow that direction!
TO OTHERS USMLE is a very small part of ur lives, don't lose focus but plz. don't let it ruin the rest! God Bless and Peace to all! love!

Ho No Target,
You've been studying great . your silent I thought seriously studying. Hmm seriously thinking I think.
I have totally quit this exam more than several times since I am grad looooooogggggn
ago. I've even quit my job off & on for exam but still quiting the exam forgood off & on too including studying self , buying all books, even try to be in courses off & on .
I've even trying to quit the from north amarica to avoid usmle so I did several time but I always realize, found that for all of us it is the place to be , the best after you've been other places .
But lately , since few yrs ago even with FT long hr., I found my heart is this & we can do that non sense exam, but with right materails, right group, helps like in med school, high school , all study well together, all go there the goal achieve .
My quiting at every time is cause of family priority, mainly like others to have earning , financially strong, they are wrong believe, I've learn in hard way of loosing much much younger yrs, but plus side I am more, much more mature to face, handle all the things in positive, diplomative ways.
So target, hope it is just a turn for temporary to get recent situation to get ease or better , then you can bouce back soon in no time. Need any as Uniqque said , pm us , willing to help, listen , try to ease your situation with all 10 or more of good peolpe, heart of us here.
I did say never good long yrs ago, so but, I will like to say " Never say Never again".
What ever you decide now , keep it cool, think after calm then will find out what is now then later or what is later then now .
All the best, do come here , visit us , that will make you not disconnect with us & who knows , things may change over night to much better situation.
I am sure we'll going to miss your nice, smiling, bright eye girl, baby face of your avatar , good right name as "target'.
As one of my teacher said, my daughter, know your target, aim for it & make sur you nail the target, hit the target".
For between you & me , I am still some day even last week, tell my hubby, I don't think I can do it . He said yes, you could. I said I foget all I've read few yrs ago, non in my head, when I try some diadnostic test. He said , after that test, when you re-start your reading, you'll be so quick, & finish in no time with full under standing.
Ok , folks, it is long week end here, not plan to post long especially here , not my main thread, sorry. Target quitting carried me away to time I had quit several times in my life for this . After all deep down , we all want to save the life while enjoying what we are doing as physician, just has to pass this hassle bussle exam[ Indi , NnL, Mt any one pl correct if wrong ] .
Target if you says you quit with sad tone, wet eye or vibrating voice, sound, or even cry openly or behind, or anger or frustration ... think about it agian seriously. You might have not ready for total quiting yet.

Excellent post SHWE..........we'll not let u do that nonsense again...........yes, it's so about saving maybe that one life if not many..........Even though i did that bit before can't wait for it again..........Oh the Enthusiasm of the young and wisdom of the old.we are stuck in the trails of the ones not fitting either place......

Well when the child of our own 1st fall, 1st cut, 1st stitches needed, or even 1st word , we as our gene will cry , so will never stop. It is nature , just keep it moderate .
Cause a lot to cry for their 1st date , etc etc etc then your 1st grand, thank god , not so soon for any one yet .
My consultant , retire feel old , when his friend's grand children call him grand . Cannot blame him , he is also the youngest in his batch.
But even me, all thought I am their age , so call me sis , but later their curious mom ask, me too honest answer, they try to call me aunty. I said too late, I prefer as sis
Any way MT, good to hear from you. Let me know when can I bug you about few st 1 general Q I like to ask , discuss with you . I have no ans . Most are deep in anatomy, I have not touch.     here you go, quicker than the light speed & with my favorite here  & not so favorite

wow shwe - u really are a woman with so much wisdom. 
target: i was so happy to see a post from u, but really shocked to read it - i'm sure u have your reasons, but i would just say - "think again!" just in case u r wondering who this aim99 is, its me Z with a new name and a new aim. i know how difficult it can be to work and study at the same time, esp. if your work is very stressful, like mine...........but, in the larger picture of things - u have to decide what will give you fulfillment in life.........just because you did medicine doesn't mean you HAVE TO pursue it - if u r happy doing what u r currently doing, then so be it.......if u think you'll never ever regret this decision to give up, then
 
but if there's an iota of doubt in your mind and u miss being a physician, then go after it with all your heart - i know its so much easier said than done, but trust me, its not impossible. the very fact that you started to study for this exam in the first place, means that somewhere deep down, you want to practice as a physician in this land of opportunities. YOU and ONLY YOU can decide what's best for u. like you, i want to give up every single day when i come back from work all exhausted and have no strength to do anything, let alone studying. but i owe it to myself - that white coat is way too precious to me. its very tempting to choose the easier way, but fulfulling is the path that you travel thru the narrow road. you know, i've been so stressed out lately, its not even funny, so i decided to give my books a break - haven't done anything for the past 2 weeks and feel miserable right now, BUT, i'm not quitting - sooner or later, i know i will get there. i've come this far and i will achieve my goal no matter what it takes. i don't know why i'm writing all this..............anyway, you know what my management assistant once told me - "this country needs more compassionate doctors like you - there are way too many out there in this profession for the money, but this world would be a better place if we had more doctors like you. so you can't give up. imagine treating a child one day who grows up to be the president of the nation! can u believe this power vested in you - its a gift u have - don't waste it!" that one sentence has stayed with me and means so much to me. target, you have a PhD - do you realize what u can achieve if u just took this exam???????????????? u are one step short of hitting the bull's eye. like someone once said - "you may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try." and remember, the price of growth is always less than the cost of stagnation................i'll leave u with that thought.........hubby will be home any minute, so better get dinner started!
