hey almost forgot....did any one check out the kaplan med essentials book...i just got it yesterday and it seems really nice.... its one thick book...but in th end it appears to b the book for the last min reviews and quick reviews... got all the charts and more that the ln do....
i think its def worth taking a look at... will b more descreptive when i go thru it...

Doing physio.. Will post status n neuro queries in all my breaks..

hi guys, thanks for thinking about me esp mytime old kid inidi focus and anyone i forgotten. Went to work yday leaving him behind but had just a throbbing headache and cough had to come back home after 1/2 hour.
Took my son to the doctors at 3 apointment for a review with great difficulty and then crashed in the bed when I got abck home. This morn deciding whether to take him to school or not , he seems ok except cough but I was totally like a zombie ....woke up with a severe pain in my throat and bronchospasm managed to drop him in school and came home and almost collapsed with vomiting fever adn chills . SO going to hit the bed......thought I will check on you guys....all of you doing well. Mytime I did buy the stuff you told me havent tried yet. Ok some rest should help me........see you.

ok.. 1st lemme post some points frm neuro frm my "fan experiment" cz i promised mytime....
guys, i thought of a scenario to clarify n differentiate aphasias of different types n the reaction of patients to the same situation..This is purely hypothetical n to test my own understanding of aphasias.. So plz read this n post ur comments n plz..plz correct me wherever i m wrong.
Ok.. so its like...u show the patient a ball n u ask the patient 3 Qs n they r..
1) Nod to say yes n shake head to say no fr my 1st Q... which is.. Do u know what this is?
2) Speak out what this is
3) write down what this is..
Now on showing the ball n asking Qs.. pat. suffering frm various lesions respond as follows...
BROCA'S aphasia 1-nods 2- This...............ball 3-Can't write
(understands,speech impoverished, agraphia)
WERNICKE'S APHASIA 1-No response 2-This will might have being a good present fr my 8th year old son date of birth 3-can't write
(doesn't understand,misuse of words, paraphasia, fluent,agraphia)
CONDUCTION APHASIA - 1- Nods 2- I know what this being but can't remember it on today 3- Can't write
(understands,fluent,some paraphasia,misuse, agraphia)
GERSTMANN SYNDROME- 1 Nods 2- This is a ball 3- Can't write
(agraphia only will be alexia also)
VISUAL AGNOSIA 1-Looks at it fr some time n then nods head 2- this is a circle 3 Writes "this is a circle"
(Sees but doesn't recognise, language intact)
ASOMATOGNOSIA 1-nods head 2-its a ball cut in half 3- writes "its a ball cut in half" on the right side of the page provided.
(neglects left half of visual field,language intact)
Please,please please...do comment n correct me... Add to it.

I also forgot to thank everyone fr the concern they showed fr me though it ws really nothing... i m fine as ever.
Oh and jaide... i have KME... everyone says that its fr the last few weeks revision.. basically a condensed version of KLN.

Hey guys just taking a lunch break.......so have 30 minutes.

hi everyone,just wondering, when do you guys get to do all the posting, cant seem to catch up with you guys, well my plan for today was to read my respiratory physiology and i was able to finish that, dont trust my weekends but i plan to go through my renal physiology, no promises but lets see how it goes.
