hi
I have usmle world qbank in book form I dont know it is the same which is available online ?is there anyone who has used usmleworldqbank in book form?
do I need to buy usmle world qbank online or not ?
also is it necessary todo kaplan qbank or usmle world qbank which i have in book form is enough?

there is no usmleworld book.

so no clue about book you are referring to.

are you talking about the kaplan qbook?

itmeans that i dont have to buy usmle worldqbank online? bc it can save my 90$ smiling face

but well if it is important then I can spend money on that
and what about kaplab qbank it is necessary to do or usmle world qbank is enough?

Hi Shumaila

I would recommend to take the online UW qbank( i am not marketing for UW) if the book you have is already answered, as for me i have the UW in CD but it is copy of the answers of someone( i.echoices already marked). and still i am going to take the online version for best beinfit.

thanks to all u guys for ur cooperation
and safroot the book I get is like that there is a question then answer then explainnation and educationalobjective of that question on same page
I just wanted to know whether these questions are same as online or online I get different questions bc I will have to spend 90$ on it if I go for online and if questions are same that it is not worth it

Could you tell me exactly how many questions in your book? As far as i know the UW q bank contains 2000+ Qs , but from your description it looks the same as UW Qs , the Cd i have doesn`t have all the questions may be less than have, so ia m applying online for it, if any questions let me know( tarigagab@hotmail.com), thank you.

thanks to all and safroot usmleworldqbank in bookform which I have has about more thanthousand question I didnt count them as they are so many .. but some one told me in this forum that it has about 50 question lessthen actual online usmleworld so may be I bought online one after doing qustions form it .

Well the UW in book form is the same as in UW online Q bank. It has 5 books just like kaplan LN. The only difference is that you can't be trained perfectly with time out practising. Even though you can use stop watch for time out alarm. For those who can't afford online Q banks this books gives a good insight for the practise though maybe not 100 % efficient to online but its help is 90%. GL

its available here too...dont do that book...better do the online one...u need to train urself sitting in front of your computer....
i found it difficult initially n my eyes got strained....bt it helps on the exam day.....either do the download version thats available on net for free download or the online subscription bt not the book....

about kaplan q bank...if u have time do both uw and kap q bank...
best is revise uw and just check out notes of kapq bank i hv posted....u can go through that once...

I m using the UW book too. but the Qs are 2005-2006 year in the book.
u can download 2007 UW Qs from different forums too.
and try to learn the concepts. and if u want to evaluate urself than i think NBME is good tool.
but dont forget to make ur own notes from UW or other source u using.
I m doing IM and making my own notes, coz in the end u cant look different books.

not only that UW has added over 200+ questions that aren't on the CD. And they continue to update their qbank. I find that I will do all the questions in one section, and then a few weeks later, they'll be 5-6 new questions on that topic.

The benefits of doing it online, in a timed format that simulates the exam, can't be beat for the price they charge.
