hi,i m on h4 frm 1 yr,if i reigister for f1 for 2yrs and apply for 2008 match..how many yrs of h1 visa is granted..i mean..do i get a fresh 6 yrs visa agian or my 1 yr on h4 is counted and i get only 5 yrs..plz advice??

I think you will get a fresh 6 years visa ...
but please get it confirmed from somebody else as well

thanks waqastariq.i also thought so.
but actually ms murthy(on murthy.com) said 1 gets a total of 6 yr visa irrespective of sumone going on f1 in between.cud u plz suggest me some other source /lawyer website for better information.
any advice will be highly appreciated.
