Congratulations Kumar!! Kumar, I have got a question. Are the questions on the real exam lengthier than those on Kaplan Qbank?? This is important to me coz while doing questions(timed mode) on the Qbank I usually get time to go back to marked questions and change atleast 3-4 answers from wrong to right. How likely is it to get time on the real step 1 to go back and check the asnwers of the marked ones?

thanks 26malik, tolito, and snake0613 img05 i used dvds for one subject when i started my first read but found it very time consuming and need lot of concentration esp if u r an img...so i droped my idea to see dvds and continued with my lecture notes...rest depends on u some ppl feel like learning more from listening..so u can try for it, if it suits so then go for it... snake0613 10 days before my exam i just skimmed over all my subjects esp to my weak subjects like BS and mol biology...then i also wrote few imp points which i thought i will forgot so i looked at them..thats it..but nothing doing few days before the exam i felt lost but i think its natural and everybody feels like this before exam GL

Hi, Kumar Congraduations on ur great score and may you have a bright future. I have q qs for u. How do u think of q-bank of kaplan? Do u think it resembles the real test? And do u think the content correlates with the real test? I am now so discouraged at my q-bank score(79 at 100%completion) because no matter how hard i study, i didn't progress a lot during my preparation. My test is in early August, what should i do? Thank you in advance.

thanks mph... about q-bank no i would not say it is like a real exam my exam was different from qbank..but that doesn't mean u r not going to practice qbank..its kind of learning tool and it helps to buld up ur concepts and ur score of 79 is great man..just go for exam mine was 77. abt qbank score its said that anything above 70 is good & u will score 90+ most probably. so dont b dishearted coz its a learning tool best of luck. sam27 kaplan dvds r not carrying anything different, our lecture notes r ditto copy of it..so it doesn't make any difference if u reading a book or listening a dvd ,material is same. for score of 99 i think one shld know kaplan cover to cover plus some things from outside like in physio kaplan doesn't mention cardic output venous return curve which i thiink for sure u will get one on exam, i have to read it from brs which has explained it in a very nice way..so u have to look for few things from outside but KAPLAN is enough for 99 if u r knowing it cold!

I just wanted to know that were you same in the beginning as I am like I dont remember anything from my past...suffering from a very severe type of amnesia when I opened up the old books... how much time did it take you to complete the prep?

hi waqastariq yeah definately, when i started my prep i thought as if i am going thru this for the first time esp anatomy & biochemistry although i am a fresh grad(2005)...so it will b more pronounced if u r old grad so don't panic its natural..as u will go thru the stuff 2-3 times u will b more familiar with the stuff.. i studied for 5-6 months but in the last month i was not feeling like studying any more so i think 4-5 months are more than enough(it depends if u r working or not..i was not working so studying full time)...that's what i think..i guess aggressive approach is good & benefical and will be more fruitful as compared to studying for more than 6 months.. hope it helps.. good luck
