Hi guys,,
I am pretty new to this forum,, had i known abt it earlier i could have faired better at my step 1 .I had a very bad score in my step1( 77/188), n this was my second attempt..i am still not able to get over it,seems i have lost all my confidence now it seems to me that my basics are soo poor that it is n`t worth trying for my next step Can anyone genuinely suggest me wat shuld i be doing now...if there`s still somthing left for me...
If i have to try for my step2ck,,how shuld i go abt? Shuld i re revise my step1?? Plzzz help,,i am an IMG (any indians out there ?)

Dr. Pumpkin,
listen man you passed......didn't you? that is more than a lot of people can say! so be happy and look forward. Step 2 is more about clinical situations, treatment, next step in management. As far as i am concerned you don't need to go over step 1 again (YOU PASSED IT)... just gather yourself and stop losing hope. POSITIVE ENERGY MAN!

thnx eta2008..that gave me a kick to start up . How shuld i go abt my step2ck.. I have got hold hold of Kaplan lectures, notes n the Q bank..I have read abt the UW in this forum, shuld i register it rite now . or shall i do one topic n then move to the questions? Can u plzz suggest?

i agree with eta, you have passed step 1 and this is not a bad move; so encourage yourself and go on with step 2; many doctors take step 2 b4 step1 so i dont think you should worry about this point... good luck

Hi Dr.Pumpkin,
Congrats for getting over the first hurdle.Don't get upset on the score,I know a person who got 77 in step 1, and passed step 2 in second attempt still she got in pediatrics so relax YOu are gonna make it.Good luck for your step 2 .
