hello friends, i read number of posts here, and still i did not get any clear information about which is the best. I am a kaplan student and using kaplan for step 2 ck. But i read one post where the respectable senior member P53 has suggested that OB GYN , Pediatrics and Neurology are best done for blueprints. And still i dont find kaplan notes satisfactory for psychiatry. Can anyone please guide me???

you could use kaplan as a base and build on that with the blueprints. you'll pick up a lot from solving q's with uw. please go thru exam experiences to find out what sorces were used by others, then decide for yourself after looking at the books urself

OK, I'll try it once again :
first of all, I haven't said that you should read OB-GYN, Pediatrics and Neurology from blueprints, and other subjects - from Kaplan; I just have said that these 3 blueprints are very good; I always prefer combination, rather than reading the same books again and again (that's my style, my approach, with which I feel comfortable, and of course, I don't claim that this is the best way to get high scores). So, I'm combining Kaplan LNs for EACH subject with other reviews:
for IM I'm using Agabegi's 'Step-Up to Medicine';
for Peds - 'Blueprints Pediatrics';
for Neuro - 'Bluerpints Neurology';
for Ob-Gyn - 'Blueprints Obstetrics & Gynecology';
for Surgery - 'NMS Surgery' (too detailed, but couldn't find a shorter review which would be working);
for Psychiatry - haven't yet decided: some authorities suggest that Stead's 'First Aid for the Psychiatry Clerkship' is much better than very terse 'Blueprints Psychiatry', which itself is certainly better than too simplified 'High-Yield Psychiatry'.
