The answer is D. Hemorrhagic diaphysis. The person has SteaSince the pancreas is not working, then fat is in reabsorbed in the instestine. Fat soluble vitamens are also not reabsorbed----->vit. K deficiency will occur-->coagulation factors are not activated--> hemorrhagic diaphysis.

Slacker your explantion is good, but I read a similar question somewhere and I prefer choice C. This patient may have chronic pancreatitis---> decrease in pancreatic enzyme, especially the enzyme disrupt the binding between B12 and intrinsic factor---> decrease in B12 absortion--> macrocytic anemia. Vit K deficiency may be present but it rarely cause hemorrhagic diaphysis. may be you confused with hemorrhagic DIATHESIS (MORE COMMON).

Ur right, that Vit b12 deficiency will develop in like 6-9 years, but from the given choices i still think vit. K deficiency still more apropiate because that will develp way more rapidly

true robin but since this patient will manifest both diseases ie b12 and vit k defficiency eventually, the first one would be vit k and bleeding diathesis. so i will still go with D.

but the answer choice is Hemorrhagic DIAPHYSIS (EXTREMELY RARE), not diathesis
