daunorubicin belongs to the same family of doxorubicin, right?

  #6

yes

  #7

mjl,
how does mitomycin interact with adriamycin to enhance toxicity?

  #8

Then i think daunorubicin can also be one choice...to enhance doxorubicin(adriamycin) sideeffect.

  #9

doxorubicin causes cardiotoxicity by forming free radicals. mitomycin does the same thing. when given together they both have synergistic effect and hence the toxicity of doxorubicin is enhanced.
