A 24 y/o man is brought to the ER following a car accident in which his knee struck the dashboard with considerable force. ON examination, his tibia moves posteriorly in relation to the femur. Which of the following ligaments is most likely to have been torn?

A. Anterior crutiate
B. Lateral collateral
C. Medial Collateral
D. Oblique popliteal
E. Patellar
F. Posterior crutiate

post. cruciate......i think that too.its one of the three lig. and moreover imp for holding tibia in place,preventing post displacement

I always get confused with this posterior anterior thingee regarding the cruciate ligaments... smiling face is there anyway to remember them???

Yea, this sounds like PCL .. i agree.
ACL tear would have the ant. drawer sign.

fair enough! because its easy to fumble back and forth for 90 seconds saying which is it anterior, posterior, anterior, posterior, anterior, posterior, and still not really sure
