A previously health 25 year old woman is brought to the ER 30 minutes after a motor vehicle collision in which she sustained blunt abdominal trauma. The spleen removes encapsulated organisms, so asplenic patients need vaccines for those organisms, pneumococcus, Haemophilus, etc...

well, thing is its the encapsulated bacteria which are cleared up by the spleen and the primary ones are Haemophilus Influenzae, Pneumococci and Meningococci, so splenic pts shud be vaccinated against these!

however here, its about influenza virus, not Haemophilus, otherwise it wud hv been mentioned!

also aspelic individuals do not hv any additional risk for Influenza virus infection!

so answer is E.
