 WELL, IŽLL TRY TO HELP YOU. OK, THINKING IN THAT YOU HAVE BEEN OUT OF TOUCH WITH BASICS AND ALL WHAT YOU SAID, MY RECOMMENDATIONS ARE:

1)MAYBE IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU MAKE STEP BY STEP, FIRST 1 AND LATER THE 2ND. BESIDES YOU WANT TO BEGIN IN 2006, YOU HAVE TIME.

2) TAKE THE FIRST AID LIKE A GUIDE: YOU CAN CHECK THERE WHAT ARE THE BEST TEXTBOOKS TO STUDY.

3) KAPLAN Q BANK IS VERY USEFUL.

4) YOU CAN BUY ALSO A REVIEW BOOK (F.EX. NMS REVIEW FOR USMLE 1 - IT HAS MANY QUESTIONS).

5) OF COURSE YOU HAVE TO MAKE A PLAN, YOU HAVE TO PUT A DATE FOR YOUR EXAM AND STUDY TO BE READY.

I HOPE IT SERVES YOU. GOOD LUCK.

Hi again student
I am hanan from ma
the books you mentioned is too big and ful of information that you do not need
studying short books is much better that studying big books .
I have a friends who went for step 1 and step 2 exams and they had like 97,99,95 they all agree that we need to study short books .
do not study nms they are not good ,go for first aid and kaplan lectures notes (i am doing the same now) and you need to review pathology from BRS ,it is the highest yeilled subject .
pluse Q bank kaplan question
try to take step 1 exam and then step 2 .
take your time it is very important to get a high score than only pass the exam
as far as you are in MA we can start a study group if you like ?
