I interviewed there last year. The interview is very informal, the atmosphere relaxed. Lot of FMG residents, and the dinner with them was informative. The PD is a great guy, resident centered. There are no fellowships, but good placement record in the past years. THey encourage research, which is good for obtaining fellowships outside on your own.

other than uscsf-fresno, has anyone heard from California yet? Or does anyone know if Cali sends out invitations later?

Dear Meedoc i have recieved a couple of invitations from cali, but a ton of rejections. but there are some programs from which i have not heard.

3 rejections today...st.vincent, st marys MO and capital health...which brings the count to 20 rejections!!!

What should we do with the programs that have not answer... insist for a desition or just let it pass??? what do you guys think?

Thanks Vader, I think I'll call some Cali programs. My California letter was just uploaded, I think that might be some of the problem

one of the programs has emailed me that they are still waiting for my CS result & then they'll let me know about the interview. can this be one of the problems with other programs as well? i'm really interested in metrohealth & cleveland clinic & i haven't heard from them as yet.

Please advice!!!
I will take the step 2 at the end of November and receive the result in late December. Most programs close receiving applications by the end of November or December.
My question is this; Should I go ahead and apply some programs with Step 2 result pending? This way at least, I am thinking, I can be on the list to be considered and be put on hold. Or should I wait for the result of Step 2 and get ECFMG certification before applying?
