I guess that you get calls when you least expect them. I got a call from Metropolitan, ny today. This made my weekend.

hi y'all,

I am new to this forum but glad to be here. seem like everyone is running a marathon for this match. Such a stressful game!

BTW, can anyone answer this question seriously, plz: if I have not received any IV since applying in early sept., Would November 1st make a big difference? Why should it make any difference b/c most programs do not look at Dean's letter or MSPE for IMGs anyway? Also, I understand that programs often have rolling admission and it's been 2 months for me waiting in silence. I feel so terrible right now
sad

Should I call programs if not heard anything by November 15th? Chances are getting slim with everyday passing. Thx.

i am not sure abt November 1 making difference.. but i would like to blv so... certainly many uni programs start reviewing in novemebr, but i did not apply to many Unis.... so i dont know... i am left with only 3 confirm invitations and 1 unconfirmed ( i have been given a date but have not rcvd confirmation email by PC)... a few places are still reviewing my applications and 30 rejections so far

Thanks Moozy for being so kind and supportive. I guess U R right....all we can do is to believe since we've done our best already.
BTW, are you sure that univ programs don't review applications until Nov? I thought they have rolling admission.

  #908

Moozy, I forget to say "CONGRATS" on 3 inv. That are still 3 chances for ranking and you're in the game. Just prepare and do well for your Inv, you'll be fine.

Let's hope when Nov comes, there will be many many more good news for all of us.

  #909

thanks newlife....

i am yet to begin prep for interviews... jsut sorting the wardrobe out these days....

It is just said that Unis start reviewing in November as AMGs come into picture with MSPE released.. i cant say for sure though.. it is just hear and say....

GL for the upcoming month

drz123, if you want to match this year, you have to rank first, the places you did interview well. but if you are sure that all those places rank you, I am with budesonide.

It does not help to rank the places regarding of how well we interviewed there. We have to rank them in the order of our preference. For example you interview very bad in MGH and very good in Interfaith. When you submit your rank list, it will not hurt you to rank MGH first and then Interfaith.

Good luck

i have 8 responses (3 IV,1 hold, 4 rej) out of 70 applications Ishter.....so i got 88% of unanswered applications..... i sure as hell hope things change in nov....i like to think my credentials are not bad enough to not even receive a nice rej letter..lol!
