I think you could still apply. I just applied and have received some iv's. Also, some of the programs aren't even looking until nov 1 when the mspe's are downloaded. Only problem is, it takes ECFMG quite sometime to upload our documents.

I received an invitation from a program, but they want my pre-med requirements faxed to them. Has anyone ever heard of this?? And why would they want this.

Rejection from Caritas St Elizabeth Medical Center, Boston MA.

Hello guys,

I graduated more than 7 years ago, step1:94/step2:91/CS passed, one month US oberservership, one US LOR, worked in UK for a few years, don't need a visa.......its been weeks now and no IV calls........only some rejections.....do you think I stand a chance of getting a few IVs and getting into an IM residency program this year? Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks

elisha

Dear Rasul,

Thanks for your reply.......I read your previous post on your shopping experience and I know how it feels becoz I'm in the same situation too. I wish you the best and hope you get into a good program this year. And I'll wait around and see what happens on my end..

hey meedoc, appreciate ur reply. around the time of sept 1 supposedly it would take abt 10 days to upload docmts.....has it been taking longer recently?
Actually, how long has it been taking of late, from the time of buying token till getting green signal to apply to programs?

  #674

Interviews from: Southern Illinois University,Springfield, Mount Carmel, Columbus,Ohio and just got one from Henry Ford today.Good to see you jinx...I see the dancing pill is still working its magic....... wink

drk : Long time!Great to have you back...regarding your query...you get the AAMC id within one business day of getting the token I believe. ECFMG recieved my documents on the 15th of september...took 10 business days to scan and upload them...I applied to a couple of programs on the 29th of sept to get my docs uploaded to the ERAS server...that took about 2 business days...so I was all set to apply to all my programs by the 2nd of October. This was my timeline..not sure what its like as of now...mebbe call ECFMG and get the low down?

  #677

Hi drk1980,

I applied on the 5th, but my husband had sent in my documents earliers, so most of it was uploaded. It still takes 10 business days, so about two weeks. They are currently uploading from Sept. 28th. So, I think it still takes 10 business days or more.

My credentials are: 2006 grad/5 mths usce/4 us lors/ 90 step 1/ck awaiting results/cs passed/us citizen.

I just received iv from henry ford & St. John as well, looks like that sent out a lot today!
Jersey shore didn't ask for my core rotations, only my pre-med credits.

  #678

thanks for the replies cyra, meedoc. i called up ecfmg and was informed it still takes about 10 business days for scanning. but its better to hold it as two weeks as meedoc said. So if one were to start the stuff today it would be earliest Oct 25-30 before one can apply to programs. darn... has anyone sensible ever applied so late?

  #679

hee hee good going cyra....
drk1980...u have gr8 creds...do apply!!!
