Hi, guys: got an email today saying that my application "has been received and reviewed by the Departmental Residency Advisory Committee. No further action on your part is required at this time. You will be notified if further information is required." Is this a polite rejection or I still have hope? Thanks and GL to u all.

Hey Saira...
You don't need to send it again if you have already done it...just check through OASIS -> ERAS Token, if they have received it or call them if its been a while since you sent it and its still not showing up in OASIS.
Meanwhile, do assign the PTAL as your 4th letter to all the california programs u have applied regardless of it being available thru ECFMG or not.

Many thanx doc 2378. I read ur msg. just now. I have already re-sent my PTAL copy thru FedEx overnite yesterday & it'll reach ECFMG at 9 am Monday morning! I hope I did not screw things up even more??!! I thought u advised me to re-send it,& in any case,its been a while that I sent all my docs to ECFMG,& coz of my stupidity of not designationg it as an LOR in ERAS, I am lost now,& the letter may even be lost,so I thought I'll re-send it,that way if I call ECFMG on Mo & they say they do't see it in my file & I shud re-send it,at least one more day won't be wasted. I wrote on ERAS doc submission form to use this instead of an LOR by dr. so & so...
Also...1 more question....does OASIS show a list of all docs received? I don't think so...does it...it does say DOC RECEIVED...but how wud I know they did not lose my PTAL over a span of so many days??!! I guess the only way to find out is to wait till Monday morning 6 am PST which wud be 9 am EST & just to waittttttttt!! I hope these 24 hrs get over soon & this torturous wait of mine ends,Ameen!! BUT I CAN'T TAHNK U ENUFF DOC2378 !! MANY MANY THANX! As I said,all I can do is pray for u,wish u all the best, & beg Allah to reward u for this, Ameen!!
If u have any more suggestions for me,plz post it....MANY MANY MANY MANY thanx!!

hi guys, i noticed this year only few interview calls are sent to guys with 99/99 and 1 or 2 monthes USCE....if this is the situation with those guys, then whom are getting interviews...from this forum and other forums many prgrams have already sent many interviews..

I think it depends on several factors... I know guys 99/99 reserach and USCE but had a bad program selection and got a few interviews... A friend currently applying with low 80s and already have 3 invitations but he applyed on sept 1st with a complete application. There are very particular situations and each one with different results.
We still have october which is known to be the month when most invitations are given...

8th october...... whens yours?
i have applied to 10 paeds programs as a back up... will apply to a few more tomorow... its getting a bit frightening for me.. even though i realize that October is the month for most invitations but I dont have that grat credentilas..., I just felt i should have some backup...

I have a bitter sweet start to this week, just got 1 more invite from a FM program,so was feeling pretty estatic, followed by a rejection letter from Lehigh Valley Hospital for IM 5 mins later....BUT, even with the rejection, it can't take away the good feeling the invitation has given me for the day...

I'm stucked with 1 rejection and 1 invitation... 1 whole week with my mailbox empty... I had to play a lot of videogames to keep myself away from prematch anxiety...  Just hope my situation change, I don`t know how long I can hold like this...

Hey Saira,
Nope you cannot see the name of the letter writer or any other details of letter on OASIS but if it shows that they have received and scanned a fifth LOR for you, you can take a good guess that its your PTAL...anyways its better if you can call them and confirm...

Hey doc 2378.....
Just for curiousity's sake,OASIS just sez, ERAS APPLICATION PACKET...& does not show hoe may LORs & all.....
But anyways...I called up ecfmg at 6 am here & 9 am ET...they todl me that I did the rite thing by unassigning 1 lor & putting the 5th LOR that is Cal letter in place of it...& in 24-48 hrs programmes will have the Cal letter with them...ALL TAHNX TO UR SUPERB SUGGESTION,MANY THANX!! Then I also got a reply from MyEras help ppl...& they asked me to do the same thing,that is,deassign 1 letter from all CA programmes & place Cal letter in lace of it... I have e-mailed them also to ask how much time its going to take till the programmes can download it,no response yet,but hopefully soon....also,I asked ECFMG if -re-sending the Cal letter to them will cause any problem/confusion,& she said,no...because when it gets scanned,it will show that its a duplicate of one of the previously received documents & hence will automatically be discarded...can't thank u enuff for ur help doc.... May Allah bless u & reward u for helping me just in time!!

THere are only 3 ways of receiving an interview
!) e-mail 2) e-mail 3) e-mail
Two othe unlikely ways
1)Out of thin air on a fine day ,you may receive a call from a PD (very unlikely ) who may want to talk to you .But still the inivitation are sent out only through e-mails .
2) regular mail -very very obsolete
