You are right. I received a call for a prelim program today. Atleast it is soemthing...........I have applied to Path mostly, and some prelim. GBMC- not the greatest I hear.

no I dont think so. for one program you are charged only once, doesn't matter if you click of both or just one

i applied just two days back in IM and im happy that i got an interview call from st.barnabas ,NY.Does any one know how is this programs....and one more querry plz...can i reshedule my interview date once i select one.....e.g.,suppose i schedule a date on 15 nov.and then i want to have an interview date on 30 nov...is it possible or not????plz reply

CONGRATS on getting interview from Cooks County. I heard that its a good program with lots of fellowship opportunities, atleast in IM field. I don't know in which branch have you applied. Can you share your credentials.

just now got a rejection from lincoln hospital,NY....they just said ....coz of large no.of applicants they are rejecting me.......the reason is annoying...what can i say

No u will not charge twice if u checck on both cat and preliminary in the same application,but wat i came to know that it will not give them a good impression ,they need to be clear wat u want to do in thier program ,unless specified by the program as I know a program in dallas suggest fmgs to apply both in cat in prel to increase the chances of match.so retail be sure before applying to both prel and cat in the same program.

I got 5 rejections so far , with two reviewing my application , thing seems to be complicated.........its depressing , have applied to 60 IM and 29 Peds , its worse than studying or go ing for the exam. god when will i see an interview call

Hey galeno, no prob... as for your question, I heard that is better to interiew first in programs that you want the least, and your main programs at the end. There might be several reasons for that but I read that more than 1 time.
Karusmle, relax a bit, certainly this is worse than the studying but we are so close to have the residency... have patience and things will change in the upcoming weeks.
