I'm taking Step2CK On October. I'm so confused about the MATCH, the ERAS Token, and all of those things...

Where do we start? What do I have to do first, second, etc.? can please someone be patient with me and explain all this stuff step by step?

I will really appreciate help

hello folks! has anyone heard of people getting interviews based only on the step 1 and 2CK marks? i have giving step1 and 2ck but cannot give cs before nov ( have got a date for nov 1st at atlanta Should i try for the 2007 match or is 2008 the only feasible option? well any program will do as long it is in IM please do advise.

  #244

guys, i have a "classic" question. How many programs should we apply to in IM?

thanks for your answer and time.

  #245

Q on CAF

Where are you guys/ from India are putting the Internship/ 1 YR compulsory experiece in CAF?

Thanks.

  #246

Hi Chemamr...heres the "standard" answer to your "classic" question:

As many as your finances permit...

Actually, if you are careful in selecting programs I believe even a chunk of 30-40 should be good enough...if you prefer to 'play safe'...go for ~50-60....if you are "filthy rich" and wanna squeeze in any way, anywhere, 70-80...and I know guys who went in for a whooping 100+ (wonder how they found out sooo many programs worth wasting money after)

Hi,

AMRIT!..go ahead and apply with step 1 and step 2, if you do cs in November you may have your grade by the time they interview, but as long as you have step 1 and 2 go for it, don't wait another year, try for 2007match.

Best of luck

hey anyone going for neurology... i think shifting to nrmp made it more confusing for applicants... but i also think they would be giving more prematches? just a thought.. since they would like their applicant to have a chance to rank their pgy1 in the same area...??

  #253

Hi Chemamr,

No Still waiting for it. I guess I will put it under work expe. rather than residency training.hey r u sending original LORs?
