grief that is delayed, inhibited and denied is pathologic.

What does it mean? plz

Grief is initially characerised by shock and denial.{denial means refusal to believe that a person is dead or dying}

pathological grief is nothing but Depression after the death of a person which lasts for longer time{symptoms may persist for more than an year}

I don't know much about inhibition. Hope this will help you

1) first grief is normal its NOT disease but person can have somatic complaints/emotional distance

2)if there is no improvement in the persons pessimistic and melancholy state of mind within 6- to 12 months then its pathologic. depression is probably too heavy a word! Also Kubler Ross's stages of dying is another topic all together.
