wow buddy, Plastic surgery is the most competitive of surgical areas, so you must have extraordinary/perfect scores and great credentials. For pediatric surgery, you've got to do surgery and then pediatric Qx, it's also very competitive. But if you have that kind of credentials, you can do it!. Otherwise, you can apply to general surgery, do the whole 5-year-residency and then apply to plastic surgery, (of course, during your general surgery residency you have to do research, do electives, and try to earn your spot in some plastic surgery program), it's gonna be also very competitive but then you have some chance.
hope this helps. But if you are more open mind and you can be general surgeon only, you have a chance there, and that's easier than try to fight for plastics/pediatric Qx. But all depends on your credentials and you.

what about the General Surgery?
how score will IMG need to apply for it(without USCE , step 2 scores or US LOR's)

Yeah, I was also interested in advice about general surgery. I'm from a carrib school with a step 1 score of 223 (90) and will be taking step 2 next year. Is that good enough for general surgery being a foriegn grad? I hear most foriegn grads matching into surgery have >230...

you need 95+... cat gen surgery is very hard.... try your best to do good on step 2 and get some lor's, etc...

that's a good score mpd210, if you do well in your step 2, you could get a preliminary position  . that's what i think.

you can get into surgery even with not so great grades...you might have to do a preliminary year somewhere...it can be done, you might have to take the long route...good luck...you can do this...
